DishTV — Set Top Box is corrupt and unfair trade practice.

I am using the company's services for the last 8 + years and had upgraded to Dish TV tru HD service about 18 months back. Few days back while the television was on, the screen went blank and the set-top box stopped responding.The TV was showing a 'No signal' Message, customer care was contacted and after standard recovery options failed i was advised to have technician visit our home for a physical inspection and recovery, after few checks the technician suggested that the box is not responding and the only choice is to replace the box which was to cost around 900 Rs and will be a refurbished instrument with a 90 day warranty period. Here are my concerns : 1) I have not been told the exact 'root cause' for the service to cease but only been given generic statement the box has become 'faulty' and was given a easy solution which is to replace the box ( at my cost). I managed to show the exact error message to the technician ( which i have shared with customer team as well).- I am here with attaching the error screen i am getting. 2) Assuming its an hardware failure of the box, i am still advised to pay 900 rs for refurbished box with a 90 days warranty, considering a new upgrade to such a HD Box is only 600 rupees ( which comes with a one year warranty) i really see this as a cheeky revenue seeking opportunity from a customer in distress who is already denied service. 3)I am alarmed by the lack o f sensitivity by the customer care team and their lead, they were more keen to wear me out than hear me and only trying to establish that i have no choice but to pay out the money. I had to repeat myself every time to each new person i had to speak to. I even spoke to the nodal officer and send a mail explaining the details, they had sent one response stating the same and still haven't provided viable options. they have stopped responding after response to my first mail. We changed our set top box into HD.it is frequent restart. It works bad.our vc number was [protected].And register number was [protected].
