DMart — Complaint Regarding Billing Error Due to Incorrect Barcode Tagging

During my purchase, an item priced at ₹85 was incorrectly billed as ₹795. Upon verification, it was found that the barcode of a higher-value item (makhana) was mistakenly attached to another item (moong), which led to incorrect billing.

Although the amount was later adjusted after I raised the issue, this incident is concerning. It raises an important question:

How many such errors might be occurring where customers are unknowingly overcharged and do not notice the discrepancy?
