[Resolved]  Domino's Pizza — Unprofessional and rude employees

I am a regular customer at Dominos’ Ballygunge, Kolkata outlet. The kind of treatment I have got from Dominos’ employees has caused me utter disappointment. I have two complaints to be made regarding the attitude of Dominos’ employees and how they mislead customers. 1. A few days back I had placed an order for two medium pizzas. In spite of categorically stating that I do not want mushroom in my pizza, there was mushroom in it. Hence, the concerned employee, Nusrat, apologized to me and as compensation assured that I would be given a good offer next time I wish to place my order. However, when I tried to place my order yesterday, I was blatantly and rudely refused the same as Nusrat was on leave. It must be understood that when a mistake is committed by an employee of Dominos, the manager has a vicarious liability too. It is his duty to maintain records of such promises so that they can be fulfilled at the stated time of performing the promise. If he gives his employees the power and liberty to make such promises, he is also responsible for its fulfilment. It is highly unprofessional to refuse the performance of obligations by making frivolous excuses. Refusal to honour promises at the time of it performance is a violation of the Chapter IV and specifically Section 37 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872. 2. Yesterday, my order no.201 arrived approximately after 45 minutes of placing the order and was hence not accepted by me. The order being delivered after 30 minutes, I claimed it to be free of cost. I was informed that on 1st January, such offer is not available. However, the same was not informed to me while placing the order. When a policy that is otherwise always available, has been suspended for a day, it is Dominos’ duty to inform the customer about the same. However, even if we keep such callous behaviour aside and consider it an honest mistake, the response of Dominos’ employee is absolutely unacceptable. I quote the reply of Dominos’ employee on my claim “Customer ko jo ukhaadna hai ukhaad le, aaj koi off nahi milega!”. It is shameful how much importance and respect Dominos gives to itscustomers, unfortunately, They cannot behave like this with customers assuming they have a monopoly.
