[Resolved]  Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital — Incorrect Eye Prescription and Request for Compensation

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am S. Krishnasamy, MRN No. AVD/135771/26. I would like to bring to your kind attention a serious issue regarding the treatment I received at your Avadi branch.
I visited your hospital for the first time on 26 March 2026 for an eye examination (prescription enclosed). Based on the prescription provided by your doctor, I purchased lenses and frames from an outside optical shop at a cost of Rs. 5, 000/-.
However, after using the prescribed lenses, I experienced significant difficulty in reading and vision clarity. Due to these problems, I revisited your hospital on 28 May 2026. Another doctor examined my eyes and informed me that my vision/power was completely different from the previous prescription. I was then advised to purchase a new set of lenses.
Because of the incorrect prescription initially provided, I have suffered:
1. Vision problems and discomfort
2. Financial loss due to purchasing unsuitable lenses
3. Mental stress and inconvenience
4. Loss of confidence in your hospital services
Therefore, I kindly request the management to:
• Provide replacement lenses and frames at the hospital’s cost, and
• Refund the amount already paid by me for the unsuitable lenses and frames. And
• Refund the advance amount paid at your hospital for the new lenses..
I hope the management will consider my complaint seriously and provide a fair resolution at the earliest.
