I am iqbal akhter, an nri staying in saudi arabia.
I booked a round trip ticket for my wife through easemytrip.com aka emt which was scheduled for[protected]Chandigarh to dammam) and the return was scheduled in january 2023. I had to reschedule due to some reasons. Website accepted the rescheduling fee and gave me confirmation of booking but never sent me the ticket. I tried to cancel the tickets but the website kept on showing the status as pending. Upon making a number of isd calls (Explained the same to every new tele-caller and told them that this was an isd call they put me on hold for minimum 20 minutes every time) they said that i was late in applying for reschedule and they can only refund the return flight and they processed it while i was still on call and confirmed me on the same call (I have the call records). I contacted them on twitter and they kept on transferring me from one desk to another. Finally they accepted the mess that was created by them and agreed to initiate a complete refund. They never refunded the ticket amount. Now after the january return ticket date has passed they are asking me to go online to cancel the tickets. Even if the website works now, it will result in a no show by the passenger and i get nothing in return. I have been put through enormous mental torture by easemytrip and i want them to compensate the financial and psychological losses i have been put through by them.
I have other call records that support my claim to be right.
Though the mental trauma i have been put through cannot be compared with money but still i want to claim a compensation amount of rs.[protected] to emt. Was this information helpful? |
