EaseMyTrip.com — Delay in sending confirmation

I made a reservation on 18 September at approximately 5 PM for a flight Delhi to Jodhpur. Ya received a WhatsApp as well as an email from easemytrip saying my reservation was pending and not confirmed and that they would confirm to me in the next 20 minutes now. My credit card charge was also showing pending. . I waited till the next morning and made an alternate reservation.
On the 19th afternoon I saw my credit card had been charged and called please my trip asking why had not received confirmation on my card had been charged . Immediately the lady, who answered the phone said that no I have confirmed it now and send me a WhatsApp as well as email with the confirmation. I told her I did not want confirmation now and had made alternate reservations, however she kept insisting that now that she has confirmed I had to cancel only with the airline.
I asked her to escalate the issue she promised a call back but none came . Next day I also sent an email to the website complaint e mail id and Everyone responded saying that they cannot refund and it is only cancel through the airline . I have been repeatedly writing back saying it is not my fault and it is their for delaying the confirmation however there has been no response.
Why should I lose money when the delay has caused me to book an alternate flight.
I have lost approximately 7500 because of this . Request urgent help please

I got a call post this saying that they will refund some money and make up the loss with discounts but not heard back

Dear Khasrat, Regarding Booking ID EMT[protected] I hope I hope as per our telephonic conversation your query has been addressed in the case of your Dual booking, you need to have been in touch with us before making the second reservation so that we could reject the first. Additionally, because you made the reservation through another platform, we are unable to process a full refund for booking ID EMT[protected]. Since we usually communicate with airlines in situations when guests accidentally make two reservations for the same time, date, and destination, if the airline grants a full refund for one reservation, we also initiate the same for the guest. However, in your case, a full refund is not permitted, and a refund has been processed for you in accordance with airline fare regulations.
