[Resolved]  Ebay.in — Defective camera that I received and their horrible customer support that has not resolve my issue yet.

I ordered a camera(PaisaPay ID: [protected] and Claim ID: 1311357) from ebay.in on[protected] and i received it in[protected]. On receipt, I found that the manual and the battery of the camera were missing. I immediately raised an ebay claim asking for the battery and the manual. The seller immediately called me up and said he would send them by courier. He sent a battery which was of a mobile phone and was totally irrelevant to the camera. I called him back and he said he has no stock and that he would ask ebay to refund my money. As he said, he indeed asked ebay to refund my money and ebay had also replied to him in a positive way. The seller forwarded me the conversation through mail. So, i asked ebay customer service about the refund and they said that a 'claim adjuster' would call me. The maximum wait time for receiving a call from him is 5 days from the opening of the claim. I waited and i called ebay customer service on the 6th day. They said that i ll get a call in 48 hours, but i denied bevause i waited for the time line set by them. Also, i came to know that as per ebay policies, any claim has to be resolved in 20 days! So, i threatened ebay customer service by tellingthem that i wiuld go to the court. But their reply was.. 'sir, its your wish to go or not but even if you go court will ask you to wait for 20 says' how can someone say that when they themselves have said that i would get a call in 5 days. So i kept calling ebay customer service daily till 27th (which was the 20th day from opening the claim). The customer service said i would get a call in 48 hours! It is utter nonsense because the time limit for resolution of claim has been exceeded! I complained to ebay grievance officer on 28th october and immediately i got a call from the claims department. To my shock, their reply is that the description of the product hasn't mentioned the presence of the battery. But It is clearly mentioned in the description that the battery is 900mAh and 3.7v !! I got furious and i said that it is foolish statement of the claim adjuster and thatthey are trying to loot my money!! My problems are- 1) both the parties (buyer and seller) agreed to refundmy money. Then why does ebay have a problem in giving me a refund!? 2) on what basis does ebay employ their customer support executives!? I would have called them nearly 20 times and always i have been told to wait for 48 hours and many of them have bo respect when they speak! 3) who is the claim adjuster to decide if i should keep the product or not when both me and the seller know it's defective! ? I have waited enough and i need a resolution
