Elica — Disappointed with Elica Chimney Poor Performance and High Maintenance Costs

I purchased the Elica I-SMART EFI HAC LTW 75 CM chimney on 14th December 2023, trusting its reputation as a premium and reliable product. However, my experience has been far from satisfactory.
After utilizing the chimney in my new flat for just over a year, it unexpectedly began emitting a loud and disruptive noise. Concerned about this issue, I promptly filed a complaint on April 9, 2025, under the reference CRM ID: TGE[protected]. Upon inspection by the technician, it was determined that a faulty sub-blower (fan) was the root cause of the problem. I proceeded to have the sub-blower replaced at a cost of ₹2, 800. However, to my dismay, the noise persisted, leading to the revelation that the housing unit also needed to be replaced, incurring an additional cost of ₹3, 000. Furthermore, a charge of Rs.1700 was quoted for the removal of oil marks.
I am disappointed by the unexpected expenses and the lack of resolution to the initial issue. I am hopeful that these additional repairs will finally rectify the problem and restore the functionality of the chimney.This is extremely disappointing, especially for a product that was barely used for a year and sold under the assurance of quality and durability. A chimney of this price and brand should not develop such major issues so early.
I expected better from Elica, both in terms of product quality and after-sales support. I sincerely request Elica to either replace the faulty chimney or provide the necessary spare parts free of cost, given the short usage span and the premium price of the product. Customer satisfaction should not end at the point of sale.
