Exide Industries — dealer & service issue | |||||
I had purchased a tubular battery which had issue with the back. 2 3 times inspection was done by the dealer but he didn't agree to send the battery to the company for inspection. After raising a request with the exide, engineer from exide visited my place for the inspection. Upon inspection he informed me that i he has checked the water level & cleaned the terminals and if still the back up issue remains then i can againg register a complain & he will reinspect the battery. After few day i again registered a complain with the exide & engineer visited my place for inspection. After inspection, he made site inspection report & told me to deliver the battery to the dealer so that they can send the battery for inspection to the company. After the report was made, due to some unavoidable medical condition at my place, battery could not be delivered to the dealer. I got the battery delivered to the dealer approx 1 month after site inspection report was handed over to me. As conveyed by the dealer that mr. Sumanto from exide has refused to send the battery to the company as i had delayed in submitting the battery. Now my battery is out of warranty. I am not able to understand that how can he reject from sending the battery to the company if the battery is having the fault. Moreover how does that matter if i took time to delivery the battery to the dealer, ideally company should have collected the battery from my place since it was in warranty. This a pathetic response from the dealer & your representative in the area. Request you to take the corrective action & improve the quality of service in the location. These issues are very common in the area. The dealer had given a standby battery for use which was not working. Installation of the battery was also done by me for the standby battery at my place & not by dealer. He just handed over the battery to me. This is so unprofessional & pathetic. By chance i was in town so i could do all this stuffs else my grand parents are 80+ and they really cant do all these stuffs. I think you people should think about your brand image which would be effected in anybody's mind who is using exide from last not less than 40 years. Was this information helpful? | |||||
