I am from ludhiana, punjab. I have puchased a new exide invasmart 1500 battery on 21/06/2014 from exide battery registered dealer — kundan singh & sons (Mg). Opp manju cinema, ludhiana, punjab. Invoice nor-15390 the battery had 36 months warranty.in the month of april2017 the battery was not giving proper backup so i logged a complaint with exidecare at toll free number. After which engineer visited and checked and said that battery is faulty so contact your dealer. Complaint no — npba00001056v167. I visited the dealer in june and asked him to send the battery to the company. He denied me to send the battery to the company and started giving excuses that they have to prepare performa of battery so they will charge it first. They took 5-6 days for charging and also unnecessarily charged me rs300 for this. And returned me the battery without repairing it. I told him that my battery warranty is on endline so plz get it repaired by the company but he denied. And it was the last day of warranty i. E 21/6/2017 when the battery was completely down so at the end i myself visited the exidecare factory at focal point, ludhiana and at there they checked the battery. They told that your battery is dead and cannot be replaced now as it's warranty was expired on 20/6/2017. When i futher enquired about the policy then i came to know that there is no such rule that the dealer should himself make the performa n charge the battery before sending it to company. He should have directly send the battery to company. Inspite of my certain reminders to him to send the battery to exidecare he didn't sent and misguided me with the wrong policy. Now i have to suffer a loss of battery without my any fault. I request you to please take serious action against the dealer who is misguiding customers for the sake of his profit. If he would have taken right action against the battery now it would be replaced free of cost.
