It is painful to learn that First Flight Couriers (on behalf of Flipkart) has unilaterally cancelled shipment of consignment to delivery address. They had no courtesy to speak to the consignee on his telephone number. It is sad Flipkart relies on unprofessionals. The Lenovo tablet that I had purchased was meant for my 13-year old nephew who had been pestering me for it since months.
I booked and paid for the purchase on 09th November 2014. I had been tracking the shipment that was promised to be delivered by 22nd November 2014. Today morning, when I tracked the order, I was disappointed to know "shipment is cancelled by courier" without any call to either the consignor or the consignee. Calling Flipkart customer care, I was told that consignee refused to accept shipment and therefore it was returned. This is absolutely false. There was not even a telephone call and nobody reached the delivery address. Moreover, it is mentioned in the tracking prompt: "shipment is cancelled by courier". The delivery destination falls on the Ooty-Mysore highway and is a prominent address that cannot be missed.
My time and energies have been wasted. Flipkart says it is sorry for that and it cannot do anything. This is deficiency of service that is actionable. Flipkart service is unreliable, to say the least. It is prudent to avoid patronising Flipkart.com Was this information helpful? |
