Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my utmost grief regarding the recent harassment incident that took place in the office. I sincerely apologize for any discomfort or pain that I may have caused to the any individual or to the company as a whole.
I would like to provide some context regarding the events that led up to the incident. Recently, I have been dealing with some personal family issues that have caused me a significant amount of stress, due to which I had to take a day off and I had informed my TL, Mr. Tuhin Mondal regarding the situation. At the first place, he misbehaved with me over call, using foul language.
When I joined, the very next day, I got verbally abused by the TL, Mr. Tuhin Mondal. I was asked not to login to the system and within sometime, I was asked to leave my chair and hand it over to a new employee. On denial, they called the security guard and forcefully got me removed. I’ve been working with this company from the past 2 months now, this kind of a behavior was really unexpected. Then, I was asked to leave and not to come from the next day. They also said that my salary will be deducted and will be credited only after 90 days.
As per the rules, an employer can terminate an employee by giving him at least 30 days of notice or a salary in lieu of such notice provided. Even if I’m not getting a notice, I would at least require my salary on time as I’ve worked the whole month and secondly, I had no intentions to leave the company so soon.
Sir, I understand that all these people are my seniors and probably have much more experience than I do. I joined this institution to learn and gain more knowledge about how this industry works. But instead of guiding me, they started harassing me to this extent. They have harassed me quite many times, previously as well. I’ve always kept calm and accepted the harassment as a part of my job. Now, when things got out of control, I couldn’t help but write to you.
I would also like to inform you that the TL and the manager, Mr. Atanu Ghosh, are well connected, personally as well and they are all teaming up against me. Holding a junior position, I’m not being able to take any action against them. I honestly do not have any personal grudges against any of them.
I don’t think I’ll be accepted as a part of this company anymore. But I really wanted you to know what’s going on, so that, you take some action and make it a better place to work.
Requesting you to do the needful and take necessary action and hoping that this issue gets resolved here itself and I do not have to approach any legal authority, speacially for my salary part.
