This is regarding the call I received from GBIC for issue with one of my policy in Reliance Nippon Life Insurance. The person names Rajat Malhotra from GBIC called me around 7 months back and asked me if I am not satisfied with the policy in Reliance then I can surrender that before maturity and purchase a new policy in Aviva. He told me that in Reliance’s policy, the agent is getting much benefit and I will be in loss upon maturity. Since he had all the details related to my policy so I agreed to do so and surrendered the policy in Reliance. As per his agreement the remaining amount should be transferred to new Aviva policy but I not receiving any response from him now. I suspect I have been trapped in some fraud so need assistance for the same. Was this information helpful? | 
I received similar call last week and this week as well. A lady called and said that she is calling from Bharti Axa and had all the details of my policy including the nominee .She was trying hard to convince me that the agent who sold me this policy is earning a good commission and sold me an unfavorable policy and I would be losing money on it. She told me that I can register a complaint with GBIC and even gave me a complaint number when I asked her to register one. I was told that I shall be getting another call from GBIC in a few days and they will provide a solution and the next steps but also warned me that the GBIC person will not have enough time to speak and if he/she does not get the response in time, they will close the complaint after which I cannot register a complaint again on this policy. I found this quite fishy and after the call tried to get in touch with the customer care of Bharti Axa . Unfortunately the executive said the systems are down and she cannot fetch any details . I went ahead and narrated the incident to her .She said that she will call me back once the system is up. Still waiting for the call .Will update more how the situation progresses. I have a strong feeling that this a group of people who are committing this scam .What surprises me though is how they can get the confidential information about the policy .We need Data privacy laws in India soon. :(
