Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam — garbage collection van | |||
I live in ashok nagar, ghaziabad near holy child school. The garbage van doesnt come daily here, it has no fixed time of coming, even if we want to throw our waste in it we are not able to do so, because it is not possible to keep a track when it is coming while we are getting ready to go to work in the morning. People are not putting wet and dry waste separately in it. Suggestion: there should be a helper in every van along with the driver who collects the waste kept ouside the houses. Nagar nigam in jaipur is also doing it. He should also keep a check whether people are throwing the waste after segregating or not. Those who don't, should be fined on the spot. Government has taken a good initiative of solid waste management, public is being charged for ti also. But if the efforts are not going in the right direction, then what is the point of it? I live in Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad and the garbage van has no fixed time of coming. The sound played by the van is not loud enough to hear it and when we are able to hear it, the driver just passes by. He doesn't stop or waits for us to put in the garbage. On one incident he even jist saw me with garbage bags in my hands and kept driving. He also drives the van with speed such that many people have not been able to put in the garbage. I live on first floor and it takes time for me to get down to ground floor and hence the speed of the van should be slower, given that there is no specific time for the van to come. A check should be kept upon the drivers as they are just formally driving the van around the city without actually letting us throw our waste in it. What are we supposed to do with our garbage?
