Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Sanjay Pathak took possession of Flat No. F1, First Floor, Plot No. 9/68, Judge Colony, Sector-9, Vaishali, Ghaziabad on 5th January 24.
When i went to Ghaziabad Nagar Office, Sector-10, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad and they handed over house Tax details amounting to Rs. 30, 000/- approx. Since, i have taken possession of said flat in 2024, i pleaded that i am entitled to pay house tax and other taxes for the period 2023-24, but they said that the entire amount which includes penalty of Rs 9, 350'- approx has to be borne by me. This is injustice, as i am only liable to pay the House tax from the period when the physical possession/ registry were done in my name.
Its surprising that the previous owner Mr. Chandra Mohan Dimri, has not paid House Tax since 2014. I would like to know why the department didnot take action against him and why the services were not stopped.
Why should i pay for negligence of the department dealing with House Tax?
Requesting you to please look into this matter and resolve it. I am ready to pay the House Tax for the period 2023-24, which comes to Rs. 2325 approx.
