Glob Technology — harassment

Hi,
I was offered a freelancing job by this company named glob technology based in gujarat as they claim. They sent an agreement on email and asked for my pan card and adhar card. I provided them my id proofs, but then i found their company claims fishy. So, i called them and told them i am not interested anymore.
Now, they are constantly harassing me to pay them rs. 5000 in cash or they will drag me to court. My query is just that when i haven't signed any contract with them, how can they harass me to pay them. This company is fraud and scamming innocent people.
A lady on their behalf called me this morning and claimed to be the legal adviser of the company. She said if i don't pay them, then they are taking legal action. Thereafter i got a sms saying that a case has been filed against me in court.
