Global Hospitals Group — Registration fee being collected for visiting hospital

Gleneagles global hopital at Perumbakkam, Chennai, Tamilnadu have collected registration charges for first time visit to Hopital. We have been paying for consultation of doctor but not sure what is registration fees. I was trying to ask them for reason they said it is to maintain the records of patients.
