Globus — Refusal to exchange the damaged

I bought a Girl's top from GLOBUS, Shipra mall as a gift to someone, on 15.6.2014. I later discovered it to be damaged from two sides. On going back to the shop, the manager completely refused to take it back (even thought it was not on sale) and gave me suggestion to get it patched by a tailor. The bill details for the same are tr:6652, receipt no. 0012896.
Manager's adamant and rude behaviour was striking and his lack o[censored]nderstanding the problem of customers was unacceptable.
I am highly disappointed by GLOBUS which was once one of my favorite brands.
