GoAir — about cancellation of a flight

We had booked a go air flight for 24/05/2018. From goa to mumbai and even got a print out of the ticket with confirmed pnr. And also a mobile message stating the same. Once we reached the airport we were shocked to know that the flight has been cancelled! We had not received any previous notice about the cancellation. Since we had a connecting flight from mumbai, we had to make other arrangements. Is this how this airline operates?.. The go air personal says that this flight is cancelled from past six months, if so how did i get the ticket confirmation copy with pnr also the message? Plz comply
