GoAir — Cancellation without prior notice | |||
I had booked on 28.01.2021 a GoAir flight from Delhi to Cochin scheduled to depart on 01.04.2021 and arrive on the same day with a travel time of approximately 3hrs. A few days prior to my planned departure I recieved a call from GoAir informing that the flight has been cancelled and I have an option of rebooking or getting refunded. Since the ticket charges were now almost double of what I had paid, I opted for a rebooking and was rebooked on a connecting flight with a layover at Ahmedabad scheduled to depart from Delhi on 02.04.3021 with a travel time of almost 6hrs. Note that not only had my travel time increased but also my leave plans had to be changed on short notice. Then 1 day prior to my new departure date, when I tried to web check in on 01.04.2021 I came to know that the flight I was rebooked on has also been cancelled without any prior notice. On the contrary, I had just recieved a mail 2 days ago on 28.03.2021 reminding of the departure time of the flight. When I called the customer care, I was informed that there flight has been cancelled and the passengers will be getting notified shortly even though the scheduled departure time was not even 24hrs later. I was again given the option of rebooking or getting refunded. But the only option available was a flight with a travel time of 10hrs and so I was forced to get a refund. I had to then book a ticket in a different airline at twice the price. I feel that I was not duly compensated here. Was this information helpful? | |||
