In spite of a manufacturing defect in the product, it is surprising how non-cooperative the service team can be at Godrej. I had bought a sofa (Model: Nuo, Bill Number: 324284) on 23.09.2014. There was a manufacturing defect in the sofa and I had lodged a complaint number in January, complaint number: K[protected]. I had to call the customer care number several times before the technician actually came for inspection.
However, on inspection, the technician redirected it to a service person. He was unable to repair the sofa and said that the damage is irreparable. We requested for replacement and finally it got approved by the authority. Within a period of 3 months there were damages in the sofa. So we want to opt for a better and higher range sofa from Godrej. It's strange that the consumer is willing to pay a higher price for a better model, but the authority is creating a fuss about it. It is annoying.
We are a regular customer and have been buying products on a regular basis from Godrej for the past couple of years. Including a king size bed (Magnus), mattress for the same, sofa (Rio), bean bag, three-door wardrobe, etc. But the customer care and after-sales service is so pathetic. It's such a shame!
