I had lodged a complaint on telephonic customer care helpline on 16 April (L[protected]) for replacement of broken vegetable compartment cover in my Godrej Eon Twin door refrigerator. The next day I got a visit from sevice engineer to whom I paid 550/- and obtained receipt of the same. Service engineer informed that the part should arrive in 10-14 days time. On 11 May I received a message that my service request had been closed due to non-payment of visit charge (false information provided by Godrej). I called customer care who advised me to call local service center. When I contacted local service center, they informed that they had closed the complaint as too much time had elapsed and they did not want to create a bad impression on company. They had stated arbitrary reason that I had not paid visit charges (illegal action on part of Godrej).
I had 4-5 conversations with service center over next one month and every time they informed that part is arriving soon. Finally when I called customer care again on 19.6.2023, they informed me that a new service request would be generated and I have to pay visit charges again. They also informed that they can take no action against service center for previously wrongfully closing my complaint.
This is most frustrating behavior on part of Godrej. Was this information helpful? |
