Goibibo.com — Refund not credited in the account rather converted in Promotional Gocash which cannot be used

This is with reference to the case 227509. I have cancelled my hotel booking HTLVPWTRYS and the refund is credited in go cash under promotional offer which is incorrect. I have already received response from Goibibo team which is inappropriate. The reason is follows: 1. I made a booking in Taj Ooty (Rs 11, 873) under FULLREFUND promotional scheme through which I was refunded 9900 points as part of promotional go back offer --> this was as per the Terms & Condition 2. Taj offered free cancellation and hence after sometime I cancelled the booking 3. As per the standard & transparent terms and conditions following things should have happened - my full amount should have been refunded and my promotional goibibo cash back should have been made 0. However Goibibo has refunded 1973Rs to me and continued my promotional cash back with lot of restrictions. Ideally this is my money and I have not received as part of goibibo offers and hence do not qualify to be part of promotional cash back. This is also against the rule of RBI where user is not allowed to use his money that is there in the wallet. So as part of next steps would request you following: 1. Either refund by 9, 900 Rs and make my promotional go cash as 0 2. Or move this 9, 900 promotional cash back to non-promotional cash back so that i can use it for next time purchase with no restriction. Please understand the current promotional go back points that i have is not received as part of any promotional offers and is actually my credit card refund and hence you cannot classify as promotional go back points Trust you will look into this and resolve the problem. We appreciate your feedback however please note that the t&c on our site very clearly states that in case of cancellation, the refund amount to be paid to the customer would be the amount after deducting the GoCash value. For example, if booking is done for a amount of Rs.1000 with 20% cashback. In case there is a cancellation with full refund, only Rs.800 will be returned to the bank while the Rs.200 will remain in GoCash.This Rs.200 cannot be refunded to the bank.
