[Resolved] Goibibo — No refund provided on goibibo for valid code | |||
I did my international flight booking (Booking No: AMD4ZNLCP) on 24th Apr. As per goibibo promotional offer for international flight (http://www.goibibo.com/international-flights/promotion/), I should have got a refund of Rs 1250/- for coupon code INTLON. However, its been almost a month and I'm yet to get it. I called on their customer care number and waited for half an hour for someone to respond at my expense but no luck there. In my email conversation with their customer care afterwards, I was told that it should have updated the new amount after discount automatically at the time of booking and refused that I had entered the promotional code. Attached is the screenshot of the entered code while booking. I made it particularly sure that I clicked the "GO" button atleast 10 times, as it had no effect on the amount. In doubt, I went ahead with the booking and hoped that I'll show up in the end or perhaps refunded later(sometimes). It's obviously an error in their site, possibly a bug. And they refused to admit that and cooperate. Was this information helpful? | |||

I can't understand why is goibibo is not able to submit to the fact that there could be a glitch in your website. As I already mentioned, that I
tried multiple times to ensure that the code entered from my tablet but seeing no effect, I went ahead with the booking in hopes that it will
show up in the end, which did not happen(snapshot attached). So I'm forced to seek consumer forum help, when seeing no cooperation from your website Instead of defending your side from your disappointed customers, it would be more helpful to fix your site for tablet interface.
I maintain, I entered the code and I'm entitled for refund.
Kindly do it.

Please note that we have had the matter investigated at our end and found that you did not enter the promo code in your booking.
Kindly note that we have attached and highlighted the screen shot of our technical log
which shows that the promo code was not entered manually by you when you made the booking on our site.
The technical logs auto captures the vital details such as name, departure and
arrival date, city pair, codes etc according to the details directly filled in by the passengers at the time
of making the bookings.Also please note that we have very clearly mentioned on the t&c that to
avail the discount the promo code needs to be entered so that the discount can be auto calculated.
Once the booking is confirmed and if the promo code was not entered the discount cannot be processed.
Hence, we regret that we would not be able to initiate the refund as requested in your previous mail.
