Gurugram Traffic Police — Harassment for taking Bribe by the Police Man at Sohna road , Gurgaon

Hi, My name is A.C.Verma . My driver Tiwari was challaned today for jumping red light at Sohana Road near Shopper Stop, though he really did not jump it. The fact is that he had moved a bit forward which was confirmed by my wife who was sitting on the rear seat of the car.

The traffic policeman stopped the car and asked to show the vehicle papers . Once the papers were handed over to him then started asking the original copy of RC. My wife sitting in the car tried to explain the situation and told him that the due to the safety reasons original RC is kept in the house but the police man was so adamant for not releasing the car without original RC.My wife was ready to send the driver to the house which is near by but the policeman did not agree for that . He wanted the Original RC immediately. Then my wife got fed up with the attitude of the police man and came out of the car walked down to the office as she was already delayed for her office, leaving the car with the driver.

Then the police man again started insisting my driver for original RC or pay Rs. 1100 as penalty. Further he told my driver to have a talk with your owner over the phone. My driver arranged the call with him over mobile which was not very clear and audible. Then the police man he himself called me through his mobile no [protected] on my mobile no i.e [protected].

First of all he asked me that where I am working and in what capacity. I told him every thing that I have retired as General Manager from a Government Company . Then again He started the same thing that what he was discussing with my wife and my driver.I also tried to convince him and suggested him to warn my driver for not committing the mistake in future if at all he has done some wrong this time . But he did not agree for any thing.Then I told him that do what ever you like as it was useless to talk with him. He was adamant on harassing my driver.

Finally he took Rs. 700 ( seven hundred ) from my driver for releasing he vehicle.

When I came to know this fact I became very furious on my driver that why he has paid money to the police man who was mentioning all the rules and regulations and supreme court directions just before 10 minutes to me over phone. As all the transcriptions of the discussion are recorded in main the network which can be verified from there.

Further you can verify that whether really a challan has been issued against my vehicle make Varna between 2.00 to 3.00P.M.on 2nd Feb'2017. Here I want to submit that if at all a mistake has been done by my Driver then I am ready to pay Rs. 400 ( Four hundred ) further to match Rs. 1100 as stated by the Police man .As I am law abiding Sr.citizen, very much against the corruption and never tolerated even my service carrier also.

At the same time I am very much pained that the Police Man did not care of my self as Sr.Citizen who tried to explain everything to him.He did not care even of a woman i.e my wife who was present in the car at that time who had to walk down to her office. He did all this I think only to take bribe from driver. My driver is a poor man and not literate very much was harassed by the police man and took a bribe of Rs. 700.
Its very unfortunate that in the regime of P.M.like Mr.Modi, C.M. like Mr. Khatter and under your dynamic leadership such type of people also exists in the system. I hope, an appropriate action may be taken against him. His identity may be find out by his mobile no [protected].
