dear sirs, i write with reference to an illegal construction being done in the second floor of my villa. I wish to file a complaint that my immediate neighbours on the second floor of my villa are illegally extending their premises without requisite permissions and against the law. He has constructed a third bathroom, where there is no provision for such construction nor is there any extra provision to fit an extra sewage pipe. He has illegally, fraudulently, against all bye laws, rules and regulations and against the inherent strength of the building, started constructing a third floor. Even though, there aren’t any sufficient load bearing walls to take the weight of an additional floor. There is an immediate danger of the building collapsing which may result in a catastrophe and possible fatalities. The new occupant is so reckless that he is not even checking the innate strength of the beams and the columns and with the utmost delinquency and has started constructing the third floor, according to his own taste and desire, which is contrary to the original plan and this shall destroy the symmetry of the gated colony. The new occupant has further damaged the entire façade of the flats below by not using internal drain pipes. The reckless way in which the new occupant is carrying on the construction has caused deep seepage in the walls and ceilings of my flat which would have to be repaired with immense pecuniary costs. The new occupant has not even bothered to apply the basic norms of preventing or reducing sound pollution, flow of cement and construction dust, neither has he cared to partition with sound proof fibre sheets. The construction is being carried out in a haphazard and lackadaisical manner, without any regard for the safety of my family, the occupants of the ground floor and other pedestrians. The damage caused to my villa is assessed at rs. 5, 00, 000 on a moderate estimate. Hoping for an early redressal in this matter. Regards, sanjoy kumar majhi
