I have appended the mail that I have sent to the support.
Dear Sir/Madam, I was able to get in touch with the Service center in Visakhapatnam. It
is very sad to say that the issue was not resolved and they had
identified the problem with the battery which as per them has only 6
months warranty.I had been to the service center
after 2 months of purchase of the product with the same issue and they
taught me how to charge the tab and had sent me off.The second time I went to the service station they said the issue is with the charger, they did something.But
now when I connect my charger to the tab, within minutes the back panel
gets overheated and I have a fear that the battery may explode.If
they would have identified the issue was with the battery the first
time I visited the support I could have got a replacement free of cost.Now
when the warranty has expired, I had requested them for a new battery,
they have informed that they do not hold the battery and the blame is on
HCL as you guys do not provide spare batteries for sale.Within 8 months of purchase if I do not have the Tab for usage, I think I have wasted money on this product.Last
but not least the way they treat a customer at the service center is
pathetic. Any one visiting the center has to wait for atleast 30 mintues
for someone to ask the purpose of visit.I have made
up my mind and I am surely going to ask my friends and family members to
stay away from any HCL product as the support and the product does not
