I purchased a Hitachi Split1.5T air conditioner unit on 1-Oct-2010 from PLESANT, 14/3A Gariahat Road , Kolkata, 700019. The unit was installed in my residence the next day by the technicians sent by PLESANT. The technicians installed the unit, powered it on, and hurriedly left saying the room will get cool in 30 mins. We waited for 2 hrs and were surprised to find there was no cooling from the unit. We lodged a complain with Hitachi Customer Center. A team from Hitachi Service Center made a visit to inspect the unit. They found the unit was defective and the gas had escaped due to leakages in the unit. They uninstalled the unit & took it for repair instead of replacing it with a new one. I called Hitachi customer service atleast 50 times to request them to replace the machine as why should I accept a machine that was defective from very new. Customer Service declined to comment saying as per policy they will only repair it even if it was defective from original packing. I am very upset with Hitachi. I made a extremely bad decision to buy Hitachi at much higher price than what LG or Samsung A/c are available. All of them provide 5 yrs warranty. My advice to all is go for LG at lower price and don't spend extra money on Hitachi which will not give you extra peace of mind that you expect. Regards, KM.

I agree, that true i have purchased a 1.5 ton window AC of Hitachi on 08.05.2011 which is not working from day one. I have moved a complaint bearing no.-[protected] but till date no one has visited from Hitachi. I have spent my hard earned money in buying AC of Hitachi instead of any other cheaper AC. I am going to approch Consumer Forum and I suggest to everyone-please dont buy an AC of Hitachi.

Hitachi — Day one AC not working

Respected Sir,

I have purchased a 1.5 ton Hitachi make window AC model no RAW318KSD on 31.03.2012 from
Delhi and installed it on 14.04.2012 but since installation it is not working.when
i complained to Hitachi customer care no.The service engineers comes to my door two
times and checked it and found that there is some manufacturing control and
compressor defect in the unit and also said that AC unit would be replaced.I am
again complain on your customer care for unit replacement on 18.04.2012 vide
complain no [protected] but since than there is no response from service
agency.whenever i call them they just give unsatisfactory replies.
Pl help me in this regard what i have to do now.

      FROM INSTALLATION TILL DATE I HAVE NOT GETTING COOLING EFFECT. WHOLE NIGHT TEMP SET 16-18" C. I HAVE COMPLAIN PERSONELLY TO RG OFFICE & ALSO HITACHI CUSTOMER CARE VIDE COMPLAIN NO[protected] DT 14 JUNE 2010 REGARDING LESS COOLING.         We purchased 1.2 ton aplit ac of Hitach from lucknow dealer ' Cooling Merchants' in dec 2009. In May 2010 we registered complaint of fan noise from A/C on complaint no.[protected]. Till date this complaint has not been attended.
        Some 15 days ago we got call from lucknow office saying that your device in under warranty but you have to bear travelling cost of service engineer. I told that product is under warranty & there should be no such charge. I was told that we will get back but till date no contact has been done.

          i bought a hitachi window a.c model no.RAW511KUD in april2014 and just after one month i am facing problems with it of excessive noise and no cooling i lodged the complaints twice with the company with my registration no.[protected] and[protected] on 8 june and 12june respectively, servicemen came and said that there is a problem with the compressor and all the gas got leaked, also that there was a copper wire attached to it which caused excessive noise, and that the unit is taking less amperes i.e 3.2 than the required 5ampere. just a one month ago a.c and how come its gas got leaked, i asked the company to get my unit changed as they were not able to assure me that if this unit got repaired it would work properly, but till now i got no response from them. they even closed down my request without my consent as i had refused to sign that my query has been solved.in this sizzling summer of delhi i am not even able to use my a.c such a bizzare.

            I have purchased Hitachi 1.2 T Follow Me Model in feb 2010 from Sales India - Ashram Road, Ahmedabad, GUJARAT, upon 2nd Service, ICE JAMMING problems had started & repetatively coming into picture. Due to this, there is double power consumption & no cooling frequntly. As this is a NO PROOF issue & due to unexpected timings of ICE JAMMING, Hitachi is not ready to give me replacement. The Ahmedabad based Thaltej Service centre, Mr. Jagat Gajjar is a unprofessional man who do not have values & today I believe that Hitachi is going downgrade from this discussions with them by me. I am going to fight this with Consumer court shortly & find out a way positively.

                  I have been an Hitachi Customer since 2 1/2 yrs. I have a Hitachi Refrigerator with triple door. In this two years i have always had problems with the service of the company. This time it is the worst. The Refrigerator is not functioning since 24th June, 10 Thursday. On the same day we had called our dealer Neptune Electronics informing them about the Complaint. But when no one visited us till saturday morning, we again called up the dealer where we learned that he had not informed the service centre nor did he told us to do so. The company technician didnt visit us on saturday. When Finally the Technician arrived on Monday 28th morning, he informed that some fan was not working and thus he will go back to service centre and will inform us about the estimate, but surprisingly no one called up and now today on 29th june, 10 when i couldnt control it any longer i had to again call up the service centre, and when i asked them about the status, they r then informing that the required spare was not in stock and would take a few days to get it. This is totally unprofessional from the company like yours. The service centre guys are not even bothered to inform us.


                  I am really fed up of all this, even after spending 36000/- we surely expect atleast decent service. I had spoken to Mr.Trivedi, who is very coolly explaning me that the delay happened because of mis communication with dealer. But what has that got to do with me. I am really fed up with this attitude and the problem it causes to live without a refrigerator. Now i would like an explanation from the Company as to why we have to suffer so much inspite of your boasting about your stupid service. I would like to take this matter to the highest level and wont even mind going legal for the same.

                  And now after three months of fighting with the company service centre. Now they are saying the compressor gas is not working and thus we have to pay another 6000/- for the same. The fridge is just 2 1/2 yrs old and its faced so many issues

                    Complaint no[protected] Dt:- 8/10/2010. Model no- RAV 019 END. Complaintent;- Ashok jain mb[protected].From Loyal refr. Jalandhar Mr. Onkar, checked the window AC and confirmed the problem with compresser. Asked to carry the unit to Jalandhar. Because the order for the new compresser is to be placed to Chandigarh, the unit is to be brought back to Hoshiarpur later on.Further asked to pay Rs.-1800 as gas charges. My submission is when the compresser is under warranty, it is the liability of the company to replace it and get the unit in perfect working condition. Secondly I have to arrange a taxi twice to get the unit back to Hoshiarpur.Other reputed companies never charge any thing as gas charges. So I am seeking justified directions from your goodself regarding the charges for gas and availbility of service at Hoshiarpur.This AC was purchased from D.K.Electronics Ludhiana on 6/2/2008.You can also send your reply to my e-mail id (goree.[protected]@gmail.com).                       Remote control of the unit has serious issues. The functionalities hangs very often & the remote does not work after that. Hitachi service center asks for money to change the remote control unit even after I have changed it once and the same problem continues with the unit. I had escalated this to the senior management within Hitachi but it seems they do not own up to the issue of manufacturing fault with the RCU. They have refused to change the unit free of cost.

                      There was no recall of this product as well. Hitachi is openly playing around with customers. I urge the authority to look into such kind of issues where the company does not own their fault.

                        I purchased a new Hitachi Follw me model 18EQD in the month of April '10. From the day one this AC is not working properly many a times no cooling, many times red light blinking and stop working. For this AC Aman Aircon have changed 2 times PCB, one time complete indoor unit, one time Fan motor replaced. still problem remains the same. Please change the complete AC immediately otherwise I will go to consumer forum.

The persons who came for demo made vague excuse that the AC is not installed properly, when I called the person who installed the AC and have talk with your comany's person, they fixed the time to sort out the problem, but thereafter none came to give the demo.                             The Hitachi air conditioner is the best in the market, is very hard to digest. I bought one 2T Hitachi Atom Split AC in 2005 April, spending Rs. 42,000 or 46,000 (I don’t exactly remember). The AC is extremely sensitive to slightest power fluctuation. So I was required to put another Rs. 8000.00 to buy a stabilizer. Apart from numerous issues, in 2008, my PCB got damaged beyond repair. So it was replaced and I had to pay Rs. 1600. In 2010 May, there was water leakage from the wall mounted unit of the split. I lodged a complain, and their analyst came and said “There is no issue. This is because of dust”. I paid Rs. 600. In 2010 August, the AC completely stopped working. Again I lodged a complain. Again their analyst came and said the PCB got damaged and needed to be replaced. I paid Rs. 1600 plus the service charge Rs. 600. Immediately after that the AC will not cool if it is run for more than two hours. The water was also dripping from the wall-mounted unit. It took me several calls and days to get their analyst’s attention. He finally came and showed me that there is frozen ice inside the wall-mount unit and said “the AC might be out of gas or the compressor is gone”. He dismantled the entire unit and charged me Rs. 230 as taxi fare. Two days later I came to know I need to pay Rs. 14,000 to fix the compressor. I cried why? He said “your compressor is 4 months beyond warranty”. I had to escalate this and I said “why it was not conveyed to me when the PCB was fixed for second time, that there are other issues?”. So they agreed to pay me back Rs. 1600, but I had to promise that I’ll pay another Rs. 230 taxi fare to carry the unit back. I inquired whether, the AC will work for two hours once it is re-instated, i.e. the way it was working before getting dismantled and carried to the service station. They said “No”. Fair enough. They also said since “your compressor is a special one” repair cost is high. I asked “does the special one go out of order quickly, I mean with 5 and 6 years?” They said “No. Your case is exception”. So I have to pay for a Hitachi action is not acceptable to me. So I decided not to get it repaired. I’ll keep the AC under the staircase, so that I can see it every day as a Hitachi souvenir and tell myself “Don’t go by marketing gimmicks.” I had another 1.5 T Samsung AC bought in 2006. It is running without any stabilizer and without any issue for past 4 years and the cost was Rs. 24,000. I’ll buy another two i.e. one to replace this Hitachi one and other is for my daughter’s room. Depending on feedback from my friend I’ll evaluate between Samsung, Voltas and Electrolux. HITACHI ACS ARE OVERPRICED FOR NO GOOD REASON, THEY ARE SUB-STANDARD AND THEIR FIELD TECHNICIANS OFTEN HAVE LITTLE TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT. I’ll never ever advise any friend or near one to go for Hitachi.

                            1+1 Atom+one — Split A.C is not working

                            Complain registered on Dt 20th Nov 2009 vide complain No[protected] on customer care no[protected] but till date nobody has solve this compain. Today i have already talk to Mr Abhishek at 11.15 he has inform me to solve this complain within short time, Sir, please look in to this matter and solve immediately

                              its for your information that since last 25 days i am not getting fan motor of my AC.Hitachi is a reputed company and for the first time there is complaint for my ac Its fan motor is not working properly.I have purchased it from Mansi Interprices in 2005.For last 25 days owner of the Mansi..... is in contact with Mr Pankaj Agarwal who is the head of this department but still the new fan motor has not reached in my city.
                              I am really very sorry for this.Its too hot and non working ac at home you can yoursel[censored]nderstand my difficulty.
                              Kindly do the needful as early as possible.

                                I bought a 3 door hitachi refrigerator model R-S31SVND. From day one, there has been very poor cooling of freezer. The ice cream melts often. I must called hitachi 50 times and wrote 20 emails - but the response has been poor.
                                Hitachi took back the fridge and did some repairs - but the problem remained.
                                Now they have stopped responding.

                                Whole approach of hitachi has been pathetic and they simple refuse to beleive that their product is defective. I am an engineer myself, and I have pinpointed the problems - but no avail

                                  I have 2 1 ton window a/c of Hitachi one that is new and within the first year warranty and service and the other under AMC for annual maintainence with REF AIR your service center at Bhandup. Unfortunately, these aircons are not being serviced for the past 1 year and although there have been several calls and appointments fixed the technicians do not turn up.

                                  I have a new 1.5 ton of Hitachi split AC n acc. To the comany's offer first three servicing was free but after many calls n complains till date no technicians turned up n even call centre also doesn't receive calls...

                                      I had purchased a refrigerator ( RZ400END) from M/s ACE Technomark, Sector-38, ( Great India Palace shop) Noida on 11.04.10. After 15 days refrigerator stopped working. some times it cools some times not. Its behaviour is unpredictable. However at present, it is not cooling. The mater was brought in to teh notice of the service ceenter at Sector-63 Noida through call centre atleast 6-7 times. Three-four times mechanic came from teh setvice centre but failed to provide any solution. I contacted the manager service centre, sector-63, noida and requested to send a well qualified engineer to identify the exact problem. But no such person visited our place. Last time one person came from the sservice centre named Deepak and told us that he wanted to take this refrigerator to service centre. But we refused. The whole picture suggests that the dealer sold me a old refurbished refrigerator in the guise of new one . I want the refrigerator replaced immediately.
