Honda Cars India Ltd. — tcs deposit negligence and failure to send tcs certificate | |||
I purchased a honda city from nath motors around 26 sept 2017. At that time, they collected rs. 11, 595/- on account of tax collected at source (Tcs). However, till date the tcs certificate has not been issued to me. Several follow-ups have been made since beginning 2018 and every time the answer is "it will be taken care of next month". When i asked for the reason for this delay, they said it was an administrative glitch at their end. I fail to understand how lightly and negligently this situation is handled. As per income tax act, Payment of tcs u/s 206 c (3) is within 7 days from last day of the month in which tax deducted. Return filing u/s 206 c (3) is within 15 days time after the end of each quarter. Issue of certificate no. 27d u/s 206 c (5) is within 30 days time after each quarter end i am not sure whether they have actually deposited the tcs amount with the government and / or continue to remain in violation / default. Worst part is they have not even bothered to reach out to inform me nor are they able to give a proper explanation. This is a very disappointing experience and am not at happy with nath motors administration — sorry to say, its very poor & unprofessional. i sincerely request you to kindly look into this matter and assist me in getting the tcs certificate at the earliest.
