I purchased Honda amaze on 21st July 2019 from landmark Honda, Indore.
We were traveling from Bhopal to Indore at night, starting around 12 pm. In the car, me, my mom, dad, younger brother and wife (Just married) were traveling, we were driving carefully and in speed limits, when we stopped for a toll on the way, suddenly car started making noise, we went out and saw that tire was looking odd, we tried changing the tire, but it didn't work. It was evident that the car will not move.
We were stranded at 2:00 at night, I was with family and scared. Finally, somehow we got a taxi and sent the family home
After discussion with multiple mechanics, we understood that the rear axle was broken into two, PFA images of the same, they all confirmed this is a manufacturing defect and haven't seen this issue before. We were extremely lucky that this happened while the car was at a halt, otherwise, this would have cost our lives
Please look into this matter, and explain to us how can this happen and how did your quality checks miss this?
We are still in shock, this is a major issue and will we not rest until proper actions are taken to rectify this!
Honda customer service has responded to this by saying it happened due to external force (accident),
- the car was in a standing position while this happened how is it possible?
- There are multiple other complaints on the same issue on various platforms and for the same car
Its high time please accept that the rear axle of the honda amaze is of sub-par quality
