HP India — Repair under warranty rejected | |
My laptop keyboard was not working and as per the HP support executive's advise, I submitted my laptop at an authorised service center in Capetown, South Africa. My laptop had global warranty and when I had submitted my laptop there was almost a month for the warranty to expire. After more than a month, when the warranty had expired I received a mail from service center saying that HP had rejected my claim saying that the replacement keyboard cannot be shipped to South Africa. I contacted the HP India customer service via E-mail and asked for the reason. They did not provide any specific reason and asked me to contact HP india Support. I elaborated the entire story to them and the response that I received was that I can get it repaired from the country of purchase (India) when I get back to India. Now when I contacted HP India after coming back to India, they say that this cannot be repaired under warranty as the warranty has already expired and I will have to pay for the repair.
