Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited [HESCOM] — Billing Issues/MNR : SML17395

The meter was changed before 3 years, but due to database issue it wasn't updated in the system. We were charged for 472 units in Feb2020 after they updated the meter as changed. We complained about this to Hescom office, Sirsi and requested AEE to provide justice as the normal use is maximum of 40-50 units. During MNR of 9 months, for 27 units we were charged. So if 50 unit is taken as average : 50-27 =23 units, for 9 months = 207 units. But already we were charged for 472 units which way too much for our consumption.

Respected AEE sir had promised to investigate and get back in a week, but we didn't get any response. As field workers threatened about taking out the fuse, my mother had to pay them. Normal people will not know what is MNR unless some explanation is given. Department is misusing the innocence of village people and charging this much of extra large amount.

We didn't get any resolution last year, we left it. But again this month Sept2021, we are charged 1253/- extra as audit correction charges for previous MNR. For a house which uses max 50 units per month, how can you charge more than 100 units? Please investigate on this issue and wave off the amount.

This is a sincere request for the investigation and we would be waiting for some positive resolution.

I also have copies of complaint letter to AEE with seal of the office, Meter tested ok copy if needed.
