I would like to draw your kind attention towards the full page advertisement published in times of india ahmedabad edition on 10.09.2017 and 13.09.2017 by so called hypermarketkart.com offering flat 50% discount on all grocery items for minimum purchase value of rs.5000/- through online mobile app.
Believing the reputation of toi and assuming that the shopping app would be of reputed retailer hyper city as it resembled with their name, on 10.09.2017, i downloaded the mobile app from google play store as mentioned in the ad and placed order for rs.5, 152/- and after deducting 50% discount, i was directed to make online payment of rs.2, 576/-, which was paid by me by using credit card. After placing the order, though amount was successfully online paid, i received no message from the service provider viz. Order no, delivery date of the goods etc.
After placing captioned order, when i didn’t receive any message, i wrote a mail on 11.09.2017 to the given customer care – [protected]@hypermarket.com but my mail was not responded. The goods as per the order are not delivered to me till date i. E. After lapses of 13 days.
On 12.09.2017, a call was received by me from an airtel no. +[protected] informing me that the goods ordered by me would be delivered by 20.09.2017. Later on, when i tried to contact at the said no., my call was not attended. Again, on 13.09.2017, i dropped another mail to the above said customer care but that mail is also not responded.
I was with impression that it would be usual delivery timing of the service provider but when the grocery items are not delivered even on 20.09.2017, i inquired through google site, i was surprised to see numerous consumer complaints against the said fraudulent service provider.
On 21.09.17, i cancelled my said order through the same hypermarketkart mobile app but no message received in this regard. Now, my order on the mobile app is showing status of said items as cancelled but no refund is given to me.
It is a clear cut case of fraud. I am cheated mainly due to my over belief on toi’s reputation. I believe that, toi in connivance with fraudulent service provider has cheated numerous innocent consumers like me. Please explain why appropriate action should not be taken against you for connivance with such fraudster service provider.
