Hi, my Name is Pradeep Sharma ([protected]). I booked Fairfield Marriot hotel, Kolkata for 1 night (31st May to 1st June) which is clearly mentioned on the voucher but at the time of check in, i was told by Hotel Staff that your booking was for Day Use only and not for 1 Night. I shown her the Goibibo Voucher which clearly mentioned that booking is for 1 Night. Hotel staff shown me the description given below in small letters that booking includes only day use, so you should contact goibibo from you have booked.
I called Goibibo helpline and the executive (Ms Jhuma Sengupta Saha) checked that yes booking is for 1 Night so allow her little time to speak at hotel for the resolution, she confirmed me for the call back in half hoiur but i did not get any call. I called again after 2 hours then i was told to follow the link sent in text message to get update on the complaint. After some time your app shown that query has been resolved. On 1st June morning i again called at Goibibo to know how they have resolved the query and the executive of goibibo (Sukanya Dey) told me that my booking is for day use only. I asked her then why 1 Night has mentioned on the voucher for which she was not having an answer, she just repeat her statement that booking was for day use only and finally i had to pay extra Rs 1032 to the hotel .
I am really shocked of this incidence as if it can happen with an old & loyal customer then it can happen with anyone. I will share this incidence to all my circle and will ensure that none of them use this app further.
