Hi This is to bring to your notice that I had done my booking for the 31st of August 2019, at New Rainbow Business Hotel (Bangalore) by making a payment of Rs 857 as a complete booking amount. However on the day of check in when we(Me and my wife) landed at the hotel, they denied the booking that we do not receive bookings from Goibibo, as Goibibo always falter in making payments. I was at the reception of the hotel for 1 and a half hours trying to reach out to the Goibibo call centre team. The first executive(Pema) I spoke to, he told me to wait and he will get a resolution maximum in the next 45 minutes. When I did not receive a call back for an hour I called back by 7 pm. Mr Pema who again answered my call kept my call on hold for another 30 mins. Post that i got agitated and disconnected the call. Mind you all this time till 7.30 pm, we were at the reception of the hotel. Post that the hotel guys gave me a discount on their tariff and gave me a room at Rs 1, 700. All that 1 and a half hours the hotel reception kept telling me, that I was wasting my time coordinating with the Goibibo team as they will never call back. All this happened after a long journey of 8 hours, from the time of staring from home in Mumbai at 10 am to reaching at the hotel at 6 pm. In the interim there was another Gentleman who arrived at the hotel facing the same concern, of booking through Goibibo and having his booking rejected. Next day Mr Sonu called me at 16.42 pm, where by he offered me a refund of Rs 857, and a non promotional goibibo voucher of Rs 500, which was not acceptable to me. Today again Sonu called me and offered me the same offer which was not acceptable by me, however he has gone ahead and processed the request. I mentioned that I do not accept his refund offer of Rs 500 goibibo voucher, and I would want a complete refund of my entire amount of Rs 857 and Rs 1700, to which he out rightly rejected that he wont do that. Now I need to understand that what is the goibibo management willing to do for 1. The mental harassment of making me wait for a period of 1 and a half hour at the reception of the hotel. 2. Making me repeatedly follow up. 3. Giving a resolution call after 22 hours of my making the first call. 4. Not having a senior resource reach out to me who can provide a resolution, in spite of having me stranded at the reception of a hotel, and not understanding the sensitivity of the concern.
