Ibibo Group / Goibibo — goibibo becoming a fraudsters/ resorting to unscrupulous and malpractices to cope up with the losses.

This is to draw your attention to the unethical and unscrupulous methods of making money which people of such a reputed company like goibibo have resorted to in these unprecedented times of pandemic. The experience that i have had with goibibo has really made me question the integrity of this county's largest online travel agency.

Call it a misfortune or a mistake but on the 29th february 2020 i had made a international flight booking for a two way trip to switzerland for a stay of 9days from 27th may 2020 till 4th june 2020 with goibibo. Booking id-ndc81ygdt, pnr-pnr-n3v2fw.
The booking costed me a hefty amount of rs.92, 606 and was paid using a credit card loan with emi of rs.11, 000 per month for a period of 12 months.

Even though, owing to the covid outbreak, all the flight got cancelled as per the government guidelines, till 24th of may none of the officials at goibibo bothered to call or provide an update on the application regarding the status of my flight on the 27th of may 2020. To my dismay, i could still see the flight as scheduled on the goibibo app so on 24th may 2020 i was left with no option but to send an email on their mail id requesting to provide an update on the same after multiple failed attempt to get on a call with the customer care executives to know about the status of my flight.

On 27th of may 2020, i received a mail from the gocare support team stating that my booking cancellation request has been successfully submitted and the amount will be refunded once it is received from the airline. However, on 29th may 2020 post the call with customer care executive, mail received from go care team said that since no information about the refund was received from the airline's side, hence my ticket ref#31536480 stands resolved from the goibibo's end. I received a similar mail on 30th may 2020 marking my ticket ref#31563721 which was again raised by me to refute their earlier mail.

After calling gocare team multiple of times and following up on the query relating refund of my flight charged with no suitable response from the go care team in the month of june 2020, i again dropped an email seeking update on 8th august 2020 but didn't receive any response.

On 9th of august, i called the gocare team to follow up on my query and this time to my surprise i received a response with an pdf attachment of cancel ticket voucher for booking id-gofliand91ea[protected] giving details of refund amount including amend charges refundable as rs.93, 016.
Though, it gave me a sigh of relief but still i connect with the go care team on the 11th of august 2020 to confirm the mode in which i will be receiving the refund. I got to know from one of the customer care executive, sourabh gautam, that my refund money has been received from the airline and hence i was asked to share the bank details in which i want the refund amount. Also, i was told that my refund will be reflected in my bank account within 24-48hrs from the time i share the bank details.
Note that i also have a recording of the entire conversation with sourabh as a proof.

On the contrary on 12th august 2020, i got a call from goibibo that they have not yet received the refund money and are still working with airline to get the refund for my pnr-n3v2fw. Also, post the call i got an email today that says my "ticket 31745226 has been marked resolved".
This only goes to show that the intention of goibibo is malicious. The company wants to defraud it's customer and keep such a hefty ticket amount to themselves instead of giving back the money to it's rightful owner.

I am really disappointed with the travel company which holds such a good reputation in market.

I request the higher authorities and all those responsible at goibibo to please take immediate action for getting the refund back into the account of the people for the ticket amount against a flight that got cancelled due to covid
