I have booked my flight for 4th January 2022 from New Delhi to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi with Etihad Airways from Goibibo. But I have tested positive for Covid-19 on 3rd Jan and hence have to cancel my booking. I have intimated the same to the goibibo group via call as well as in the email. Its been six months since then and I haven't got my refund amount yet. Goibibo has very incompetently submitted my application Etihad claiming the refund on 18th May 2022 (after five long months from the date of actual cancelled ticket). Goibibo kept lying to me before then that they will refund the amount and is communicating with etihad on that. While in reality, they only bothered to raise my application when I was insisting and continuously followed up via email and call reminding them about my application.
Till date, after numerous calls and emails, I still don't know when and how much money I will be getting in my refund. The only response I am getting that my expected timeline for refund is between 12-17 June which is the same response I have been getting since past six months. there is no concrete answers neither they have assured me on the refund amount. I am in a state of complete panic whether I will be getting my refund or not. And also on how long do I still have to wait to get my refund.
My ticket cost me 107000 INR which is still pending due to Goibibo negligence. The amount of mental agony and harassment this issue is causing me along with financial difficulties I have been facing due to this need to be remedified as soon as possible.
My desirable resolution is very simple- to get back my refund amount for the cancelled ticket. I have attached all the relevant info but please let me know if you need more information/documents.
