Ibibo Group / Goibibo — refund for cancelled flight not processed | |
The issue that i have experienced was: i was to fly to greece from 2 may 2020 to 9 may 2020. Because of covid reasons, india did not even allow me to leave the country. Because of this, i demanded that my flight amount be refunded. Goibibo clearly refused this stating that, gulf air, the airline, is not processing any refunds. Even for rescheduling the only option they offered to me was to travel again in 2020. After multiple arguments for 2-3 months, as the date of the trip came closer, i chose to cancel the ticket. Even after canceling in early may, as on today, i haven't received the remainder amount from goibibo. The amount is almost inr 70000. They are also charging me convenience fee for cancellation. Ever since i have started to interact with them, i havent received any confidence that they will pay me back. Whenever i ask them, they say that since the airline has not refunded the amount, they can't pay the same to me. Incredibly frustrating dealing with their customer service team. I would actually like full refund of my flight money. I would also like goibibo to be more sympathetic towards their customers, since there is a lot of money at stake and these are tough times for me and my family. Was this information helpful? | |
