I ordered a clothing item from Ibis Fab website (ibisfab.com) based on their advertised photos and product descriptions. I made a digital payment of 2249/- using Google Pay. The transaction was completed successfully. When the parcel arrived, I opened it and found that the merchant had sent a completely different, cheap, unstitched piece of low-quality scrap fabric that looks nothing like the premium product advertised on their storefront. The merchant has engaged in a deliberate bait-and-switch scam. When I contacted their customer support to claim a refund, they refused to return my money, citing an unfair and illegal "no-refund / exchange-only" store policy. This is a direct violation of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, which strictly prohibit fake advertisements and unfair trade practices.
And When I provided photos of wearing the suit to show how different the item looked compared to their advertisement, the merchant falsely accused me o[censored]sing the item to deliberately avoid issuing a refund.
I have already submitted my formal complaint with the National Consumer Helpline and my bank.
