Sir/madam,

With respect to the above mentioned subject (Reg.: renewal and reduction in renewal term from 3 years to 2 years for policy nos.4333i/xol/89266527/00/000 and 4333i/xol/89266524/00/000.), i would like to inform you that i hae received the renewal letter from you dt. Feb.02.2017 for both the above policies and the last date for renewal / expiry date is mentioned as april 9 2017.

But i was really shocked to see the next act of yours (Like last time you have changed my policy from complete health care to health protect with out any prior information and confirmation from my side which is still disputed) that, at the time of giving this addon policy you have affirmed over phone and further by letter that this is a 3 year flotter policy and will be renewed after 3 years only and this is till the age of 80.

Now in the renewal letter you have mentioned these policies to be renewed for 2 years only. Ie a change from 3 years to 2 years. I once again affirm that, i can't renew the policies every year and that is why i have chosen your this addon policy which you have assured that this is a 3 year flotter policy.

When contacted your representative mrs. Swetha on 07.04.2017 over 18002666 to renew this policy, she says this policy cant be renewed over phone or on line, (And she said i have a grace period of 30 days, when i said 9 th is the expiry date). Where as i have been doing this for the last 6 years and also this facility was mentioned in your earlier renewal letter.

I really wonder why you are doing this always?? What we understand is if a party is not claiming even after renewal twice, you are expecting that he may claim this in the third renewal and wanted not to renew this policies of common public, which is a crime.

Hence i request you to kindly give change my policy to 3 year flotter and allow me to renew this online or send your person to collect the cheque on prior appointment.

Further to the above mail i got the following reply from their end with out reinstating my basic policy. Ie "dear ms. Rekha,
Greetings of the day!
With reference to your query regarding the policy numbers 4113i/xol/89266524/00/000 and 4113i/xol/89266527/00/000, we regret to inform you that due to some technical issue the said policies cannot be renewed online and policy can be renewed only on offline from our branch.
Also we wish to inform you that the grace period for policy renewal is over and hence your policy cannot be renewed.
However, a fresh proposal can be issued to you. Hence, we request you to confirm us with the future course of action.
Your relationship with icici lombard general insurance is greatly valued and we look forward to delivering the best of our services.

This is the way they are responding. Then how we can rely on these insurance companies. Kindly take immediate action in this regard.
