Icici Lombard — Rejected the Claim

I got operated for Hernia in Dombivli and information given to ICICI Lombard as per procedure. The details are as below: Reference No :[protected] Main Member Name :UDAYKUMAR MANOHAR PATANKAR Claim No :[protected] After submitting the documents in original, got rejected stating as per below: Dear Sir, We write this with reference to your concerns regarding the claim number[protected] under the policy number 4034I/FPP/75119083/00/000 We have reviewed your concerns and we would like to inform you that insured are with us since December 09, 2010. As per part II of the schedule exclusion 3.1, the claims arising on account of or in connection with any Pre-existing illness shall be excluded from the scope of cover under the policy and the same has been covered under the Policy, without a break, for a period of 4 consecutive years immediately preceding the Period of Insurance. Kindly find the attached detailed letter sent on December 24, 2013 for your reference. We look forward to serve you. Regards Rakesh Sharma Service Quality Team ICICI Lombard General Insurance I do not agree with this because in 2007 and 2008, I got operated for Hernia left side and then right side Hernia and hence the problem was solved/cured. That time also no claim was made as I was away from India. At the time of taking policy with ICICI Lombard, there was no symptom or problem of Hernia. Kindly guide and take action.
