I am filing this complaint against IDFC FIRST Bank for continuous harassment, privacy breach, and false responses regarding their recovery process.
Over the past several weeks, I have been subjected to illegal recovery calls, late-night harassment, and even disclosure of my private loan information to my father, who had no knowledge of my loan. This is a gross violation of RBI norms and privacy laws.
Despite informing the bank of my financial hardship and unemployment, they have:
Made repeated calls from spam/unknown numbers like +[protected], [protected], [protected], etc.
Called after 8 PM, violating recovery timing limits.
Contacted my father (mobile number ending in ××××6304), disclosing my loan info without consent.
Sent me WhatsApp messages from unverified agents, coercing me to “explain” myself or risk family harassment and legal threats.
Falsely claimed in their response to official portals (like NCH) that I had requested a settlement and that the number wasn’t theirs — while I have audio proof of their agent admitting she’s from IDFC FIRST Bank.

The bank even responded to a National Consumer Helpline (NCH) complaint saying my email was not registered, despite contacting me via s*********[protected]@gmail.com – another proof of dishonesty.
My Demands:
1. Immediate stop to all recovery calls and family contacts.
2. Action against agents who called from +[protected] and others.
3. Compensation for mental trauma, privacy invasion, and intimidation.
4. A written apology and confirmation of closure of the issue.
This kind of behavior by a financial institution is abusive, illegal, and deeply damaging. I have raised complaints to NCH, RBI, cybercrime, and consumer portals, and I will proceed with e-Daakhil / legal notice if the harassment continues.
