Raised complaint on washing machine not working. Technician came and informed PCB to be changed. But even after 10 days, no further actions on the complaint. Contacted customer care multiple times asking how long will it take to resolve the issue and for that also no clear response.

    I have purchased IFB front load washing machine Serena DXS from IFB centre, HSR layout, Bengaluru on 11/9/21 after payment.. The machine is delivered after two days against exchange. The installation person has come it was found that the washing machine is in damaged condition with full of water inside. It was appearing as if it was rejected product by someone and got delivered to me. I was told in a day that a new machine will get delivered from the warehouse.
    Since then I am making frantic calls to IFB showroom, HSR layout, Aradahana- Area service manager ( who stopped responding), Akash and Rajkumar from the warehouse team. A week has passed still i don't have the replacement. complaint ID- [protected] received yesterday from customer service team after several followups

    As this brought against the exchange, the old machine is taken away, my family have been put up to a lot of hardship and it is causing us huge discomfort with clothes getting piled up.

    Please help in delivering the good condition new washing machine quickly with installation support.

      IFB Microwave touchpad not working

      IFB Dishwasher issues not resolved since over a month

When the IFB technician visited first he replaced the power switch and charged us Rs.1100/- and told us that the issue is resolved.       I called Chennai ifb customer care on 11-Sep-2021. Engineer came and changed the drain motor.. They charged around Rupee 3200/- for the spare part which is too high. Why a simple spare part is charged this much... Ifb and service agencies are money minded with zero customer satisfaction. I WILL NEVER BUY ANY IFB PRODUCTS ANYMORE. Also the agency person never told about the additional labour cost to fix it. Finally they charged 3800...

            It is stated that on[protected] we purchased an Inverter Split Air Conditioner from M/s Kapoor Electronics, Moradabad by Bill number GST: 1819-12 dt[protected] and installed by the authorized Service Engineer in our premises on 9-4-2018. The unit is AC 1.5T- IACC181A3T4C.Everything was going alright in this season, and we used the air conditioner about six months in that year with proper services provided by the IFB authorized service center. (Pl Refer enclosure 1)
            It is also stated that in next year from the last week of March 2019 again the summer started, and we tried to use the AC but found the effectiveness of the cooling was not as effective as that was in the previous year. The power consumption also found higher comparing the previous year. However, we called the authorized service engineer and cleaned the AC unit and found somewhat alright in performance. Again, we used the Air Conditioner approximately for six months.
            It is also stated that as usual in the third week of March 2020 we started to use the AC, but it is found that the cooling of the AC is not effective as it was in the previous year. But immediately the lockdown was started, and we could not get a Service Engineer from IFB as the Government declared lockdown was stated. And hence we managed our life without the service of the AC
            It is also stated that next in the year of 2021 April we decided to start the AC, but we found that the cooling effect is very less. Immediately we called a service engineer who installed the AC and told that the Gas pressure is not up to the mark. He said that he can make the unit perfectly alright after filling the Gas. Then we asked him how the Gas was leaked during this time, and he was not having any proper reply and he tightened all the nut bolts of cooling pipe fitted outside. And he filled the Gas with charging Rs. 2, 990=00 (Pl Refer enclosure 2)
            It is also stated that within one month or so the cooling effect of the AC unit reduced nothing like gradually, meantime the power consumption started to increase nothing like. The matter was reported to the Customer Care and on July 2 Service Engineer visited and refilled the Gas and the unit was working for approximately for 20 to 25 days. He charged Rs. 2800.00. However, the cooling effect was gradually reducing, and the power consumption was increasing nothing like. (Pl Refer enclosure 3)
            It is also stated that after that when we reported this matter, a service engineer visited the site, and he found that the cooling gas is empty. A complete check-up of all indoor and outdoor unit done by him, and he reported that the evaporation coil is having leak. The service centre will charge Rs. 10, 500 for this Service. However, I informed the service Centre I had already got filled the gas two times spending Rs. 5, 790=00. I bargained again and again through the dealer and then ultimately, they provided a quotation for the service for Rs. 7870-00. (Pl Refer enclosure 4)
            Then they replaced the evaporation unit and now the unit is functioning alright for the last 3-4 days. (Pl Refer the photograph of the evaporation unit as annexure 5)
            From the above incident I had to arrive the following conclusions:
            • The Chinese made evaporation unit fitted with AC was a faulty one or a defective one from the beginning itself. Supporting this conclusion, the evaporation unit is kept inside the AC unit which is kept in bedroom where there are no outside disturbances. (Please refer the photograph kept as annexure 6 (a&b)
            • Even at the time of services also nobody touches the evaporation unit. The photographs of old evaporation unit are enclosed herewith
            • Usually, an Air Conditioner unit run for 10 to 15 years trouble free but what happened with this IFB Air Conditioner unit? The Chinese made evaporation unit was fitted without proper quality check

            In the following situation kindly, I request you to compensate the following expenses incurred by me against your faulty product

            Total (Rs. Twenty-three thousand six-hundred and seventy only) 23, 670.00

            I request the representative of the company to resolve the issue with in 10 days compensating the losses as stated as above to avoid approaching a consumer court by the undersigned

              Our Dishwasher has been completely shut down since the last 4-5 months.

              Upon creation of the ticket, IFB technicians visited, spent a couple of hours, installed something for which they charged around Rs. 15, 00 /-.

              They mentioned there are some more technical issues for which they will have to order new parts.

              I called that technician (Ashim Biswas, +91-[protected]) to get an update and he mentioned he has no idea when these parts will be delivered so that he can come to our house and install them.

              We are literally suffering due to this issue and need your attention to expedite it. It should not take this long to fix.

              Please let me know what additional information you need to expedite it.

                      We had very bad/worst experience with IFB service, we had issue with our washing machine, we are getting huge noise from machine so we have raised a complaint #[protected] Dated : 20 Feb 2021, Technician turned up and examined the machine and said all are ok and closed the ticket, Noise after some time which were coming from machine is increased now, we again lodge a complaint #[protected] on 27.07.2021, technician visit & according to him they need to replace some of the part, which he said he will do next 2-3 day. But, no one visit till 2-3 weeks, we call customer care again & what we came to know was surprising ticket was market closed with duplicate ticket & query already resolved. we again raised new complaint #[protected] on 24.08.2021 again its been 2 week now i called up customer care for follow up again we found ticket is been closed with same reason duplicate complaint & problem already resolved, today ( 04.09.2021) again i raised complaint for same issue 4th time with complaint no #[protected].

                      i am surprised what kind of pathetic service IFB customer care is providing, we had spread word of mouth for IFB iin past for very quick service & now all what we are getting is total opposite .

                      what is the use of AMC if we used to call customer care 6-7 month on regular basis & no solution supposed to be provide by IFB.

                                I have raised an issue with my microwave oven in july 2021 with the IFB service center ( complaint number [protected]) . After 3-4 days the technician turned up and told that you have to change the board.
                                There was no respose after that. Even after multiple calls, the customer care doesn't seem to respond to our call. After one month they called back and said that board is not available and you can buy another oven.
                                Is this how IFB do their customer service? We are very much disappointed.

                                How can an oven purchased in December 2018 be an ' old' model ? So the maximum life of your model is two and half years? The offer given by your branch is ridiculous.

                                    Sub: Promised warranty for the Oven is neglected by the service center professionals and technicians.

                                    I bought the above-mentioned IFB Oven from Amazon on 15.07.2021. The IFB delivery executive Mr. Reddy did the basic demo for the product on the next working day. We were using the oven everyday and on 28.08.2021, while we were using the convection mode with food on Heat-Resistant Glass bowl already approved to use in convection mode and which is accepted by Mr. Reddy who came for installation and also clearly mentioned in the user manual (photo of page attached below for reference of the page), a click sound was heard and when we opened the oven, the glass turn table plate was seen broken. It is a slit cut right through the middle. I reported the incident immediately to the IFB Customer Care Number and they assigned me the same technician for part replacement Mr. Reddy. He called and informed me the glass turn table is not under warranty so I have to pay for replacement i.e Rs 950/-. I again raised a complaint to the IFB Customer Care and this time they assigned me with another service technician Mr. Sreekanth. He visited my house today with a glass for the door instead of the turn table and he also claims that I have to pay for the turn table because the turn table does not come under the warranty. He also claims that Heat-Resistant Glass bowl should not be used in convection mode. We are not using an oven for the first time and also we are not illiterate or fools to listen to these false claims to neglect our warranty because in the IFB Owners Manual Page No.6 utensils guide it is clearly mentioned that we can use Heat-Resistant Glass bowl in convection mode.

                                    The issue was further escalated and communications were made to Mr. Suresh and Mr. Akash but they refused to talk further concluding that the part is not under warranty.

                                    Microwave oven Owners manual, page no. 40, 1st para. FB Industries Limned. ("The Company'') warrants to the original domestic purchase of this microwave oven (''Appliances") that it is free from defects in workmanship & materials. During 12 months from the date of purchase of the new microwave oven model, all the parts of the microwave oven and 36 months on Magnetron & Cavity, shall be replaced or repaired free of charge, on intimation to the Company I Company's authorized service center nearest to the place where the appliance is installed.                                     So where does it say that the turn table glass plate is not covered under warranty? When the warranty terms and conditions clearly states that "During 12 months from the date of purchase of the new microwave oven model, all the parts of the microwave oven and 36 months on Magnetron & Cavity, shall be replaced or repaired free of charge, on intimation to the Company I Company's authorized service center nearest to the place where the appliance is installed."

                                    To be precise the oven is used in the proper way till date following all the instructions given by the technician, the user’s manual and handled with at most care. We bought this oven after a lot of research because previously we were using Onida and the same kind of negligence was observed from their service technicians and which forced us to send a legal notice to the manufacturer for violating the terms and conditions they promised in the warranty card. It ended in a compromise by them fixing all the issues in our oven by doing service and replacement of parts at free of cost and giving us a machine, which operates like brand new. We used it for 8+ years.

                                    Here the scenario is entirely different, the IFB oven is just 1+ months old and facing issues, it itself shows the poor quality of the parts used in the machine or false design.

                                    I am a Project Engineer, my brother is a Mechanical Engineer and my wife is a Scientist. We know how machine design works and when you engineer a product and if you are incapable of maintaining the machine while it's in the warranty period using your so-called service engineers or technicians then you failed in providing the services and maintenance offered at the time of purchase of the machine. We are giving your company a time of 2 more days to fix all the issues in the machine and failing to do this I will be forced to send you a legal notice through my lawyer for not only breaching the terms and conditions of warranty but also for wasting our time and working hours, under Section 59 in The Sale of Goods Act, 1930. (b) sue the seller for damages for breach of warranty.

                                    I hope the seriousness of the issue is now glowing a bulb in your brains, else we will make it glow through the terms of law and order.

                                    I have written complaint here in consumercomplaints.in, on my facebook page and twitter. I also forwarded the detailed complaint to the CEO and all the reporting managers and alaz when it reached the right people. The area manager himself called me and said it was a miscommunication and he send the technician immediately for the part replacement at free of cost on 01.09.2021.

                                    The service technician came and replaced the damaged part now on 01.08.2021 at free of cost, in receipt of the email I send to the CEO and all other reporting managers. Thanks. Don't make the customers to suffer like this next time for claiming the warranty.
