I purchased an IFB Washing Machine (Details as per Bill - IFB WM EVA AQUA SX LDT 6.0 KG #40964) on 03rd September 2016. The Sr. No of the machine is 012769.
In May 2020, I requested for Service of the machine due to machine faults. The Service personnel informed that there was a complaint with the Drum and the same was replaced. My spouse produced the purchase bill to the service personnel to check whether the machine is covered under the warranty period, for which the employee informed that the warranty had expired. We made a payment of Rs 5800/- towards the replacement of Drum and related parts along with the service charge, for which bill was obtained.
On the next day, when I checked with the showroom from which I had purchased the machine, I came to know that the machine was under warranty and no payment had to be given for the service and parts. The showroom executive informed me that they will coordinate with IFB and get the amount reimbursed to me. During follow up calls, the showroom executive informed me that the delay was caused due to the outbreak of Corona and will get settled soon.
Recently when I called up the showroom to check the status, I got the information that the showroom executive has moved out and I’m not having the contact details of the IFB officials, with whom they were coordinating with.
Request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.
