I purchased Frontloading IFB (Senator) washing machine after seeing an adv last year and made my decision to purchase the IFB machine. As per the advertisement, they were giving 2 years additional warranty.

As a result I placed an order for Front Load washing machine (Senator 6kg) to Dass Electric Trading Co (P) Ltd, Pune on 17th Sep 2008. It was delivered about 2 weeks after the order and installed on 3rd Oct 2008 (Sr No: 50348). (First time they delivered machine with brocken front).

The person who installed the washing machine has communicated that the 4 yr Extended warranty scheme was not available from 16th Sep to 28th Sep and my billing date was 17th Sep, hence he did not give the 4 year warranty certificate. And I was asked to get a new invoice with revised date to get the certificate. Approaching Daas, they promised to resolve the matter and it was never done. Even when I called IFB service center. They also did not accept.

The 4 year warranty is available on this product ever since then.

Even after paying the same amount (even more compare to prices offered by other dealers during the same period, eg Reliance Retail for Rs 23,700) for the washing machine and still I was not given 4 year warranty whereas IFB has been giving this warranty for almost all delivery ever since.

I am surprised to see that a product is being charged at higher amount even after providing less service.

Where shoul I complain for such unfair practices by companies.

    Repent having bought IFB Dishwasher Neptune Sl No[protected] from Croma, Belapur vide Customer Delivery number[protected]. The machine is of poor quality. Ever since the first day it is giving problems. and the program installed is erratic. Hardly two months have passed and frequently we had to summon the service centre people who are adamant and turning a blind eye to our request to replace the machine. Your gievance redressal system is outdated and very time consuming. Registering a complaint on the phone is a herculean task. Our decision to invest huge amount on the machine was a blunder.

      I have purchased IFB microwave model 30 SC2 on 19 Jul 08 from IN canteen. In a weeks time, I have registered a complaint of TOP COVER RUSTED. The company rep. (M/s. Lucky services, Mumbai) inspected and assured the replacement of the same upon receipt from company.

      Second complaint was lodged by me within next 30 days or so about TURN TABLE NOT ROTATING IN UNIFORM SPEED. The company rep. (M/s. Lucky services, Mumbai) inspected and assured liquidation of both complaints.

      During this time, I talked to Mr. Mitesh (or Nitesh) Jain who has assured of machine replacement. The third complaint lodged by me was of INSUFFICIENT HEATING.

      In the month of Apr 09, M/s Lucky services rep came for replacement of TURN TABLE MOTOR. This motor was not only in sealed condition but was tampered / repaired. I have refused to replace the same. The engineer has assured me about getting box pack motor.

      In the total course, I have made hundreds of calls to Lucky services, Mr. Mitesh Jain, and Customer Care wherein spent amount even more than the replacement charges. I have even sent mail but no reply received.

      On July 19th 2009, the warranty period was over and the customer service agency named Neo Services emerged asking about pending complaints. Their engineer Mr. Sanjeev Khodke visited my home, checked the microwave and ...... said that ALL YOUR PROBLEMS WILL BE REPAIRED ON PAYMENT.

      What was the reason for such a delay? ready to repair on completion of warranty, Why? and why on payment?

      Kindly show me the way out. Not only to repair but along with the way to penalise the responsible. The machine is kept in packed condition for months together.

      At first, I would like to know about my last complaints lodged on this site. those have misplaced. were they removed by the company? If so, on what grounds as nothing has been done by the IFB.

        This is to bring to your notice that I am repeatedly comlpaining the defects of the washing machine, executive plus, and on 27th i called up customer care and they have given the complaint number 3546883 dated 27th sept, thereafter they have the cell number of Mr. Steven Augustine to contact him.
        I contacted him and to my surprise he told me that my area of warisguda do not come under his jurisdiction. later of i called up customer care and told the Steven's problem of the area,then they gave the number of Mr. Kamalakar. I called up him but one lady answered me by saying that it is raining heavily hence the executive could not come.

        Sir, you all can assess that my complaint is pending since long.

        Is there is any one take care of the complaint.

        I am the customers o[censored]r company from last 7 yrs.Now presentantly machine wricklining the cloth after washing as well as when machin starting automatically water should be going warm. without adjesting any temparature. when i was called ur company engginer. Mr. Nitin said person missbahoviour with me.and abousing langauage.
        pls take this complait seriously. and take quick action against ur rude engineer. Otherwise i am not bound for go to COSUMER COURT .

          Dear Head of the department (IFB)

          I bought a IFB Washing machine from one of your dealer called GEORGE ENTERPRISES on 22-06-09.
          After two days i received the washing machine i complained about some un usual noise from the washing machine but no one come to check or to explain what was it. Again I complained on 29 -09-09 that the machine is not working at all on but still no response i don’t know why? So could you please explain me why?

          IFB Elena DX — Not working properly

          I have bought the machine on 26.10.08 but from that day my machine is not wroking properly. service engineer has so many excuses. Service Centre has not picked the phone.

          IFB service is 3rd grade service.

          i had been purchased IFB ELENA DX washing machine, on 25/02/09 in Bangalore, My ticket no is 2762615. while purchasing they promised me that, the company will send the technisian with in 48 hours for demo & installation. but till know nobady had came, i even called to the customer care, the reply is too worse, i fed up by calling to customer care.

          We purchased a IFB Washing Machine (Elina DX) at Jagadamba Agency at Mancherial of Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh at the time of Deewali festival. from last (4) days the washing machine is not working and a complaiant has been lodged IFB Custercare and given complaint no. 4150726 and the authorities promised to repair the same with in (24) hours. So far they did not do the same.

          IFB Elena DX — Lots of Extra Charges within warranty period

          we bought the machine last year in month of April 09. Till date the controll card has to replaced. Recently the we have faced lots of issues with the machine. one day built got cut & due to this the metal wheel attached to the platic drum has damaged. Engineer also told this has happen because of built cutting.but they are telling you don't hve tp put your machine on other stand. i have prepaied a heavy metal stand to sustend this machine. now they are asking me to repair this machine you need to pay Rs. 3100. i have prepaed a stand because of dry balcony area & this flows always west eating material under it which should not smale in the regular basis. Its is so heavy that 4 persons can stand on it comfertably. Also there is no mis balenced that they are mensioning while charging the amount. my complan no. is 4277082.

          so i'll recommend the people don't buy the IFB wasing machine. its so expensive & highly charged during the warrenty period also.

          IFB Elena DX — Poor customer service - No installation

          Bought IFB fully automatic washing machine on 12th nov and it is 24th nov now but no one has turned up to install it.Upon escalation numbers provided by ifb customer service [protected] turned out to be non responsive. Contemplating legal action now.

            I am the victimized client of IFB products and I am informing all of you how they have treated me.

            I have IFB washing machine having Sanorita plus model with 5 Kg capacity and fully automatic since last 6 years+. Since purchase I am doing service contract with the company to have a trouble free usage.

            In last August, due to vibration problems, I have replaced the top of the body along with the trolley which cost me Rs. 2000/-. 3-4 days after replacement, 2 nos of wheels of the trolley were detached automatically and observed a vibration.

            When contacted service center, a person came and diagnosed that a trolley was having inferior quality and needs replacement and accordingly it was replaced. But soon after changing the trolley, vibration was observed along with the movement of machine with trolley. Again informed to IFB for the rectification. A person came and adjusted the trolley and a dummy trial was taken. Found no problem during that.

            After 2-3 days the problem was repeated and contacted IFB. Now a person came and told, your rubber gasket has been found hard and needs to be changed at a cost of Rs. 600/-. Though he has adjusted the trolley and dummy trial was taken with food result. But during regular operation the problem found repeated.

            Again I have registered a complaint at the call center and assurance has been given to have a solution within 24 hours. But now nobody is coming. I have registered a series of complaint and talked with responsible person sitting at call center. They have suggested to have a talk with responsible person at service center in Ahmedabad. Accordinly I have tried to contact with Ms Yogita Jadhav, Ms Nisha and Ms Neha. But no one of them have received my phone calls.

            One more important thing that I want to share with you, IFB has never sent a person for the service as per their commitments and person are coming without any notice.

              Dear Sir,

              I purchased the IFB washing machine in Oct 2008 but it was not installed till one month. And then after installation, within few days only it started creating problems and was not working properly.
              Complaint was lodged to replace the machine, but action was taken only after two months i.e. it got replaced in Jan, 2009 and I literally suffered for spending this money.

              Now again it started creating a problem, as its giving an error in washing function from the time of installment. This problem was reported to the service centre and they replied saying, to check the cover again & again. But this problem is still existing and moreover the machine's rinser, spinner, drainer have also stopped working now.

              I lodged the complaint for the same on 2nd Sep.2009 saying my machine is not working, but I did not get any reply. I called 7-8 times to the IFB dealers, but no step was taken till next 15 days. Finally, on 17 Sept., 2009 IFB person came and checked the machine. Then he changed the Clutch assembly and said to check it out, but unfortunately due to power out issues I was unable to check at that moment. I told them that I will check in morning (18 Sept., 2009) and will get back to them in case of any issues.

              On 18th Sep, 2009 morning, on checking I found that it’s still not working. So, I reverted back to them but did not get any reply from the IFB service center. I called more than 10 times, but no one came to check it out. Finally one person came to check the machine again and he said that he will change the machine again, but still no step has been taken till date.

              At this moment, I am literally REGRETTING FOR PURCHASING THE PRODUCT OF a well named company IFB, as it has harassed me both mentally as well as financially.

              So, I request you to please take the necessary action against it ASAP.
              Also let me know if you need any other information on the same.

              IFB WASHING MACHINE — Rinsing and Spinning

              We bought the machine on 1st Jan-09 through Chandra Traders, 100 ft Taramani Road, Velachery Raod,Chennai. We have lodged complaint several times. After few days, the same problem repeats. Even we asked them to take back the machine and give us a new machine, which they did not oblige.
              One call from Telephone no- [protected] I have received to-day(12/06/2010) someone(Madam) told me that our warranty period is going to be expire on 16/06/2010,
              do i require any help or willing to eager about AMC i have told her my IFB Washing (Senator) serial no- 5736 at the spinning label it do not work, water accumulated in the drum.Moreover I have requested her to send a person to attend the fault along with a filter. But suddenly the phone calls were disconnected & i have tried many times from my land line no[protected] but it was no-reply.Will you send somebody for my Washing Machine Problem ? Please inform me in my e-mail address so that i could be in my house, as i am a service holder.

                I am having IFB washing machine executive plus waranty of which expired in June 09. I had some unusual sound coming while the machine is in operationa dn complained to IFB service personnel in March 09 on which 2 personnel came and sia d they repaire dit and went awa. to my surprise i have noticed that the sound had increased after repair. they had replacedsome 2 parts(old parts are available with us now also).One person's name was George. we were advised by them thatthey would come on the next day and we were waiting for them. no one turned up. again we made complaint and two others came and did something and went away. when we started operating water was flowing out in our room. Immediately agains we called up the service centre. Two others came and said that they had repaird and went. After they left we noticed that the machine is kept as it is and not even screwed and closed. we were going on making complaints, but no one turned up. after lot of complaints, another 2 came and reapired and said that everything is OK and screwed and closed the machine and went away. But actually they did not do any repair. when we started operating the machine, the drum is not moving at all. from that time onwards we are making complaints, but no one turned up so far. the only alternative for us now is to fle a complaint in the court of law for legal remedy. we are also planning to give news item in the chennai local newspapers about the poor serice of IFB so that no one else will get cheated after buying their products.

                IFB — drum got cut

                4 yrs old ifb washing machine is not working, service men checked it. The reason given to us is drum got cut, The my complaint is how can drum can cut.What I feel there can be only one reason where drum can spoiled that has to be manufacture fault, i cant find no other reason, plz make a note and get back to us

                Executive Plus IFB Washing machine — Re-installation

                I shifted my residence to Begumpet and hence raised a request to IFB customer care for re-installation. They provided me with the ticket number 2318900.They told me that their service person would contact me in 2 days time. It did not happen even after a week. I called up the customer care and informed again. This time their engineer called up whose name is one Mr.Reddy. He reverse complains that we are not receiving his mobile calls which is not true each time. In fact we ended up caling many times and gave up. To top it all, I get the message on my mobile that the problem is resolves whilw it is still pending. VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER CARE.Needs an OVERHAUL.

                IFB WASHING MACHINE — not working after repair also

                I had made a complaint on 1.10.09 and earlier also. But no action has been taken. I have recd one mail asking for the address and contact no. but no news afer that. My machine is not working for the past 7 months, No one even responds. How long a customer has to wait for the company to send someone for repair. Kindly take immediate action.

                  I HAVE BOUGHT A IFB DISHWASHER- ZEPHYR MODEL , AFTER TREMENDOUS ROUNDS TO THE DEALER ; IT APPEARED AS IF HE HAS DONE A FAVOUR TO ME BY SUPPLYING THE DISHWASHER TO ME AFTER ALMOST 25 DAYS. THE DEALER IS SHAM LAL KRISHAN LAL , 1/206/28 , SADAR BAZAR DELHI CANTT - 110010.WHO SAYS CONSUMER IS THE KING DURING THESE TIMES OF ABUNDANCE AND ECONOMIC SLOWDOWN. I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE ON 26 SEP 2009 ; THE BILL NO IS RB-6413 AND TILL 29 SEP ( 10:30 PM) NO SERVICE PERSON HAD REPORTED FOR INSTALLATION AND DEMO DESPITE ASSURANCES BY THE DEALER.

                  Please any one can help me how to approche a higher up in IFB as I bought a Machine for my motherinlaw as she is 60 yrs old and had no maid in Nov 2007 but to my night mare after I purchased the machine only 6 months (April 17th 2008) was help ful for her and after that every fornight it was a hassel for her and me evry now and then I raised the compalints and they used to come in 72 hrs to see what is the problem then used to take 48 hrs to resolve it and then we used the machine for the next 48 hrs and before we took sme breathing space again the machine got the problem back being a working lady its such a tough time taking off for the IFB guys and standing there seeing the unskilled fellows who hardly know anything other than draining the salt, literally they used 4 kgs of salt one time to resolve a flow meter problem and once they opened the back of the machine twice to know that the front board had some issues and the machine still is not working and today is 5th march 2009, now in another few months even my warranty is going to be over and still there is no clue of my machine getting repaired. Am sure once my warranty period overs then my money gets flowing repairing this machine which I bought it for good for nothing for Rs 26, 400. Will be gratefull if somebody helps me as it says consumer complaint website and having my fingers cross I think we can only do that as one of the consumer said nobody will give the higherup numbers how much pressure we put in. :((((((
                  I had bought this dabba two years back which i was using only when the maid did not turnup .To my horror it had stopped taking the detergent.When i complained through the call center a guy turned up &said that your bill will be 3000Rs.He suggested that i should go for AMC costing 3500Rs .I paid him the service charge and asked him to leave. I used the descal powder & the machine was alright.Then again after six months it stopped taking the detergent.This the guy who turned up said the bill would be 6000Rs.This time he opened the door panel and created another fault& dissapeared. I suggest not to buy a dishwasher speacialy from I.F.B.Mine is lying with me occupying huge amount of space .

                  REMEMBER EAST OR WEST YOUR MAIDS ARE THE BEST.

                    I had bought an ifb elena washing machine few years back and it is not properly working now .                     IFB Elena — Machne is not working properly.

                    We bought IFB machne in May 2008 from DASS showroom near magarpatta city, hadpsar, PUNE.
                    The machine is not working from the beginning. Initially there was major problem in the machine and that was resolved. We have requested DASS to replace but they did not cooperate.

                    List of problems which we are currently facing:
                    1. Machine stops in between.
                    2. Cloths does not get dry after end.
                    3. There is lots of soap water remaining at the end.
                    4. Cloths are not washed properly.


                    We have done complaint around 50 times, every time representative come from IFB/DASS and founds no issues and give nonsense reasons.

                    We are using right washing powder and doing everything required and also wasted lot of time in calling and complaining.

                    Please look into the issue on priority and help us in replacing the machine as it is in warranty period.

                    ifb elena — Not providing proper service

                    I have registered a complaint with Call centre and was tols the service engineer will attend within 48 hrs, but did not turn up. After calling several times he has turned up only to my disappointment of making my machine completely non-functionable.
                    I have to run pillar-to post to get contact of local ppl to attend to my problem. Atlast after I get the concerned person i do not know when the service person would be attending my call or if is actually informed. PLEASE do not put us (employees) to such suffering. the purpose of purchasing such appliances is to make our life little comfortable, but your service is putting us to more agony than comfort. SO far i do not know who would be attending my call.

                    My IFB washing machine is under AMC and I am in Bangalorei.In spite of the repeated request to the help line no service persons are attending the machine, The manager at Bangalore is not even attending the calls.I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude.                     Since I purchased this machine I am spending time calling your complaint service without result. Initially the machine used to vibrate heavily during spinning, consequently it stopped spinning and finally stopped working. In view of the above experiance with your service center we are planning to return the machine. We may have to seek consumer court's help if failed to return the machine.                     IFB - ELENA — Malfunctioning product

                    I have bought the IFB Elena machine sometime after Diwali 2008 from Croma Aundh. Since then the machine has not functioned properly. The manual with machine has not been supplied either.
                    Constant complaints to IFB as well as Croma have produced no result. I have talked to Croma and IFB today as well. Both are promising to send somebody tomorrow. The same promise has been made several times earlier. I plan to to wait till 11th July. if the problem is not fixed till then, I plan to go to Consumer Court.

                    Sir I'm from Ludhiana. i had sent mine ifb machine for service to its service center nearly 15days ago. whenever i call to the service man he uses to say me that "Sir your machine is all right and we'll give it to today" and nearly 10 days has gone he telling me the same words but i Hadn't got it till now. I don't know when their today will come ? so please help me. it's very much difficult for me to do work regurarly in home.

                    I sent three online complaints to Customer Care of IFB in last 15 days.However till date the company has not responded.My washing machine is under AMC,even then there is no response from the local authorised centre of Customer care.If the the company does not reply in next fortnight i'm going to take them to the Court for sure.Their representatives can make calls to consumers even on Sundays when they want to sell their products,however, they never attend to complaints.Its Sic!They certainly deserve a kick in their pants!!

                        There was problem with control board of my washing machine , so i raised a complaint. An IFM service executive has taken the control board before 20 days but not yet replaced. I called nearly 20 times for different levels of IFM customer care person. But no use.

                        I paid nearly 19000rs to purchase the machine. but it is not working within one year and the service is worst.

                        I had a good opinion on IFB. now i feel bad and i decided not to buy any IFB product and not to recommend to my friends.

                          WASH MOTOR WARRANTY - IFB

                          Hello all:

                          We bought IFB washing machine from Jainsons(receipt no: [protected]) in 25.11.2003 and wash motor failed on 17.9.2009

                          We contacted IFB service and they deputed technician. Technician found out that wash motor failed. For replacement of the same IFB demanded Rs 4225/-

                          Replacement motor is not having any serial number or make label. On inquiry, we find that its only a refurbished motor...

                          Dear Sir/ Madam,

                          I have purchase New Washing machine model (IFB washing machine Elite deluxe 5.5 Kgs) on 25.01.09 (which is still under warrantee period)

                          After purchasing the said machine i found that it is not working properly.I have made several complaints to IFB Call centre to replace the said machine, but regret to inform you that I am not getting proper response from your service centre. I never expected such poor service from your end in such competitive market & request you to take corrective steps & get the same replaced so that no other customer complains against the poor service .

                              I have taken this year's AMC from 29/06/09 and I reported a complaint on the heater not working from June onwards. every time I book the same complaint to the customer care toll free number, a new service person will come to my home and ask 'what is the problem mam, I have come to have a look at it'. after opening the machine, he will leave saying that he will bring the spare part the next day. he will never return. Once again I will remind the customer care for not attending the complaint and the next person comes to my home asking 'mam what is the problem?' A minimum of 4 different service persons have been sent for attending the same complaint booked on 16th August. still the problem is not solved. Apart from the service persons coming , I have received calls from persons saying that they are from IFB service These service persons will first make a call at 11.00AM saying that he wishes to attend the service call and I would inform him to come after 5 PM . The next day another person calls up asking the same question. Still the problem is not solved.

                              I think the chennai, thiruvanmiyur branch is running a very good business by having incompetent service persons and with telephone alone they run the service business.

                              this needs to be stopped and I wish the consumer forum will take necessary steps to curb this low profiled service branch of IFB and compensate the loss and harassement the service branch of IFB has done to me .

                              kindly ask the branch to return the money paid for AMC as they are not able to service the equipment

                              In spite of getting into an AMC contract with IFB, the service calls are not attended properly. AMC contract itself has not been dispatched to me after getting the cheque dated 29/06/09. The service centre sends a person and the person opens up the machine and says that he will attend the next day with the spare and then he absconds. after booking a complaint call , again another person comes and does the same. It happens for the past two months for a single complaint. Hence redresal for this problem is sought as no higher official of IFB is available to address
                              I bought an IFB Elena DX around an year back in Hyderabad and the service so far has been satisfactory. Around 2 months from the time we bought it, some smoke coming out from the back while the machine is in running state. We complaint and the service person (Mr. Koteshwar Rao) was at our house within 24 hrs. He repaired and the machine was back to normal on the same day and he charged nothing for that. I strongly recommend IFB as the brand when it comes to owning a washing machine in India.

                                  After sales service of IFB Washing Machine is very poor. I have registered online complaint No.3223837 on 6.6.09 which needs to be attended to with tub replacement as per their technician. However, the matter is not being attended to till now and they are not even responding to our calls. The online service centre is not effective and just working as carrying and forwarding agent.

                                    Person from M/s Jotsna Enterprise, New alipore, Kolkata (authorised service centre of IFB) has attended my complain on 20 Ltrs Microwave Oven.In my absence they have claimed Rs.864.00 from my wife and she has asked for the bill the person is telling ok next day I shall come and collect it. After two days he has phoned me and asking for the payment where I have told him to come and collect the same on saturday 11.30 -2.30 PM.But he is phoned again in the evenibg telling that sir, pl keep it with madam I shall collect it from her. But afyer 3 days again some from the company(Jotsna Enterprise) phoned me and told me sir you have a complain our person will visit your residence to rectify the same pl give your suitable time.
                                    It was surprising for me, when I chase them & they have started with all long stories. Please very carefull while you allow any service centre man like jotsan of new alipore, kolkata.

                                      I am under AMC. A service person from IFB came at 1.45PM on 03.09.09 and serviced the machine by just cleaned the inlet and outlet points in front of the machine. Also Marketted and insisted to use the SCALE REMOVING POWDER to remove the scaling and it is the IFB product. Is this true? Whether IFB selling any Scale Remove Power, pl confirm by MAIL.

                                      Future buyers of IFB Washing Machines may please note that there are many hidden expenses when you buy a IFB Washing Machines. At the time of installation you need to purchase filters, covers, stand, washing powders & mixers without which you will be threatened that the washing machine may give problems. During warranty period you will have to buy descaling powders"DESCAL" and "Protecta" which is being sold to protect your washing machine, and it will cost you a fortune. Post warranty you had it.
