Dear sir,
I have applied for change of my surname on my pan card from 'parmar to kumari' through “www.applypanindia.in” by paying an amount of rs.349, whose payment status was successful. Subsequently, as per their requirement i have submitted hard copy of the application form along with two photographs for the processing of my application.
Further, vide their mail dated 26 may, they once again demanded for following documents:
1. Please provide us same two colors photos is required, you need to post us colors photos. Because your posted photos is mismatch else you need to provide us.
2. For changing in applicant surname 'parmar to kumari' so you need to provide us annexure 'a'.
(Annexure a"is required for further processing of pan card application form, as there is change in name of the applicant."annexure a"is required in original duly attested by gazetted officer along with one office id of gazetted officer."annexure a"must show full name of the applicant.)
Vide their mail dated 1, july they once again requested me to mail us 1 office id proof of gazetted officer who attest my annexure"a"and the same was submitted by me on 3, july. On 12, july they replied as “thanks for the e-mail, please confirm us your father name will be printed as per old pan card (Thimmaiah)” however, it was completely wrong and i have clarified/ confirmed my father’s name per return of mail.
On 19, july they reverted me by saying that your pan application is under process with the government of india and

Also, they have suggested me to “please track it after 10-12 working days as government take little time in updating details online. Please check your details online and let us know in case of any objection in application. We will further assist you with that”.
Upon perusal of the application status continuously for 10 days, it was shown that
"application is in process"
Again, on 20, july they sent me a mail mentioning that “your application already has been processed and now your aadhar card in under verification”.
On further enquiring my status i have been informed that “the uti checks the application data with aadhar data, once the verification completes the status will be updated” vide their mail dated 24, july.
On 3, aug once again they have requested to “please e-mail us id and address proof other than aadahr card”.
I am fed up with their behavior and it has become a vicious circle. Neither their phone numbers are working nor they give meaningful response to my mails. They have been lingering on my application by asking for proofs/ documents in one pretext or other for almost -4- months. I am very much aware of the fact that owning or using more than one pan is against law therefore at this point of time i am not in a position to apply again anywhere else. Their delay is beyond my control now.
It is worth mentioning that on my personal front i am unable to apply on other platforms wherever a copy of pan card as attachment is mandatory, be it dda housing scheme, bank related affairs, recruitment related forms or any other application forms. Many of my crucial tasks are hampered due to this whose i am bearing the brunt of for -4- months.
They have not only harassed me mentally but also wasted my time and money. I feel that i am not the only sufferer, they must have trapped many other like me. Also, the matter of concern is that they might misuse applicant’s credentials for fraudulent activities.
Therefore, i request you to take strict action against people behind this ploy so that others may be saved from getting into this trap.
