I got a call from a volunteer named krishnamoorthy for donation for baby virat. He sounded desperate and quite persistent that i make the donation now as time was running out.
I went to their website and checked the child details and it seemed to be in order. I donated inr 3000 post which i got a call next morning to contribute more money as i was the only one who had come forward to help the child. He said that some 25, 000 more were needed and i 'must' come forward and help the child as he needed urgent surgery. He was quite pushy and made me feel guilty if i don't contribute.
Since prima facie the website looks credible, not sure how to go about checking whether these people are genuine or not.
If these people are actually fake then why nobody has taken notice so far and their volunteers are so boldly calling and texting us multiple times in a day till you block their number. Was this information helpful? |
