Dear madam / sir,
I travelled from coimbatore airport to singapore via silk air yesterday night. I have to declare gold and waited for more than an hour, but customs officials didn't come to departure area. Airlines officials also tried their best to bring customs officials for gold declaration. But customs officials declined giving reasons like short of hands to work etc., airport manager from departure cell also tried to contact them, but no use. Finally i have to rush to immigration check and aircraft otherwise i will have to miss the flight.
Next time when i am taking gold to india, customs will be demanding for tax. How can pay double tax for same gold? Was this information helpful? |
