[Resolved]  Indian Gifts Portal / Intermesh Shopping Network — horrible vendor experience

I had placed two orders for Mother's Day. One order had to be delivered to Bangalore and the other to Hyderabad. I had selected the Exact Date delivery option. The Bangalore order was delivered on the day of the occasion. But, I had a very very bad experience with the order that was to be delivered to Hyderabad.
First, the order never gets delivered on the specific date selected (May 13th). There was no phone call no message nothing as such to the recipient notifying them why the order had not been delivered on time or it maybe delayed. We waited all day Monday (May 14th), nothing gets delivered. Then I contacted the IGP customer service people to find out what was happening since we were clueless about the order. The girl I spoke to promised that the order would be delivered on Tuesday May15th. She sounded genuine and assured me that the order would be delivered on that day or they would issue me a refund. Yet, there was nothing delivered on that day either.
So, IGP gives the orders to the local vendors in the city to deliver the item. Since these were flowers, it had to be hand delivered. The local vendor that they had given the order to was so terrible. He was manner less and rude to us. His excuse of not delivering the order was because the flower bouquet was not ready and that his office is apparently open only until 5pm. And instead of having the courtesy to inform us and give us updates about the order, we had to constantly keep calling him to find out what happened. He also had the nerve to ask us to come and pick up the order half way since he was pretty far from where the order had to be delivered.
I called IGP and told them about this. I have asked them to refund my money and also strongly told them that this type of service was not acceptable. They better be screening the vendors that they do business with and not just let them treat customers in ruthless manners. The guy finally shows up today (May 16th), and we refused the order. Instead of being apologetic he was so crude and impolite to us. Very disappointed and disgusted.
I am hoping that IGP genuinely reads these reviews and takes the necessary actions against such behavior. Or else it would be a poor reflection on them as a company. I did call them and give them the vendor's name and phone number. Hoping they take the right action against him!
