I have sav & deposit a/c's with indusind bank. some shocking instances of its misdemeanours are as under:
1. i booked a fd online. but on the receipt the interest rate was less than what i had checked on the website. on complaining the bank produced another altered rate list.
2. a deposit maturity amount was not credited on due date. on complaining it was credited 8 days late, but it was deficient. on complaining it has not been able to explain.
3. after the above, i asked for fresh receipts of remaining fd's. shockingly, the maturity amounts in all were less than that in the original receipts, copies of which i have.
4. on the expiry of my wife i applied for deletion of her name from the jointly held fd's. whereas other banks did it simply on an application with the death certificate, indusind bank demanded numerous documents, including:
i. id proofs of claimants with witnesses and sureties.
ii. affidavit cum indemnity bond with proof of legal heirship.
iii. my daughter in USA is required to courier to the bank copies of her passport, OCI, attested by the indian consulate, and then to appear for phone interview.
iv. it even asked for proof of my visit to USA to visit my daughter - how is this relevant at all?
